  1. CLOSE!published at 14:27 British Summer Time 30 April 2017

    Everton 0-0 Chelsea

Nemanja Matic, who I think scored a fine goal in that 6-3 win here the other season, goes close to another great effort, slaloming past three players in midfield and then hitting a low shot which is straight at Maarten Stekelenburg.

You can't hit 'Wembley' shots every week.

At the other end, former/future Chelsea man Romelu Lukaku sends a low shot wide...

  2. 'The ref made a mistake'published at 14:26 British Summer Time 30 April 2017

    Man United 1-1 Swansea

    Swansea City

Swansea manager Paul Clement, speaking to BT Sport:On the penalty decision: "My players clearly thought it wasn't a penalty, and seeing the replay the player [Marcus Rashford] has deceived the referee. It's clear. There's no other way to look at it. The ref seemed to have some doubts because there was a big delay and I spoke to him afterwards and he said he was only receiving confirmation from his assistants. It was a mistake. He went down way before there was contact.

"It's still very tight at the bottom. We are just concentrating on doing the best we can. Our form over the past two games has been good, we have to keep this going until the very last game of the season."

David Luiz is limping and Eden Hazard slides into an advertising board with a hearty twhack. The Belgian is OK, not sure about the Brazilian, who wasn't moving well last time I saw him play either.

  4. 'We fully believe we can stay in this league'published at 14:25 British Summer Time 30 April 2017

    Man United 1-1 Swansea

    Swansea City

Swansea manager Paul Clement speaking to BBC Sport: "I think we showed a lot of different qualities, we didn't let the penalty affect us and we might have won it had Fernando Llorente made contact with the Gylfi Sigurdsson cross.

"The players were very frustrated and angry after that penalty decision at half-time, but we re-focused in the dressing room on what he had to do.

"That is arguably a clean sheet today and we go into the next game against Everton fully believing that we can stay in this league for next season."

Diego Costa is finding little space to operate in and is being closed down whenever he takes the ball.

Just the eight touches for the Spaniard so far.

  6. 'A point is not good'published at 14:23 British Summer Time 30 April 2017

    Man United 1-1 Swansea

    Manchester United

Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho, speaking to BBC Sport: "I feel a point is not good but my players gave everything. We are a squad of 22 that at this moment is a squad of 12 or 13.

"We will keep going until the end with this attitude. We fight. We don't lose many, that is the reality, but we will see what happens at the end of the season. Zero criticism for my boys. Swansea were well organised and fresh. They played in total this season a maximum 40 matches."

  7. Postpublished at 14:23 British Summer Time 30 April 2017

    Everton 0-0 Chelsea

There were plenty of tired legs on display yesterday but these two sides look fresh. Still being played at race pace as Marcos Alonso screws a cross into the Gwladys.

Diego Costa left in a painful heap by Tom Davies, who doesn't mind a challenge. The youngster wins the ball with a sliding tackle but gets plenty of the Spanish Brazilian's shins too.

No foul given. Plenty of notice taken by Costa. Seething.

  9. CLOSE!published at 14:18 British Summer Time 30 April 2017

    Middlesbrough 0-0 Manchester City

Alvaro Negredo threatens his old club, doing nearly everything right as he whistles a shot across the goalmouth, it just needs a touch but doesn't get one and City survive.

Negredo was unplayable in a City shirt for six months, then unwatchable for the next six.

  10. CLOSE!published at 14:17 British Summer Time 30 April 2017

    Everton 0-0 Chelsea

Ah, Chelsea close to the opener! They counter on Everton superbly, Diego Costa finds Eden Hazard running in behind, he dances around Maarten Stekelenburg but from a narrow angle can only hit the side-netting.

    Antonio Conte's Brendan Rodgers tribute celebration falls flat. {Arm up in anticipation of goal - snapped down to side}

    Man United 1-1 Swansea

Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho: We lost players and we lost points, so yes today was a bad day. We did not look tired and exhausted, we are tired and exhausted. You cannot isolate the performance out of the context. This is the ninth match of April, it is not human. We have a squad of 22 that is reduced to 13 or 14 players. The players are very tired.

Did Jesse Lingard and Ashley Young look sharper than other people. Of course, they did not play the last match. I am more than happy with the players, they gave everthing they could. I have zero criticism.

I don't know about the injuries. I think Luke Shaw's must be a big injury, because to leave the pitch after 10 minutes I am expecting a very big injury.

At the moment, we cannot walk from the bed to the toilet and break a leg.

I prefer not to speak about Phil Jones and Chris Smalling. I prefer to speak about Juan Mata giving everything to be available. I am grateful for that.

We will give everything on Thursday. That is sure. Whether we go to the final or not doesn't matter, I am really happy with the guys.

Sergio Aguero is the latest to go close to goal, curling a left-footer just over the top of Brad Guzan's bar.

    Everton 0-0 Chelsea

Great tempo to this game! Eden Hazard finds space on the left wing and beats a man before having a shot blocked.

Didn't Chelsea win at Goodison about 6-3 a few years ago? We could be on for similar if this keeps up...

Chelsea next to threaten as Gary Cahill thumps one from range and Maarten Stekelenburg doesn't convincingly deal with it, fumbled out but cleared.

After yesterday's borefest we seem to have started on fast forward, as Aleksandar Kolarov whistles a shot over from range.

Colin Whitehead: Another poor negative approach by Man United, slow heavy footed and rubbish. When will they introduce pace into their game?

Arthur Magoola: Weak mentality from United. Missed chance to go into top four EVERY TIME this season, and to lower ranked clubs.

Thariq: Yet again, Utd fail to capitalise on an opportunity to jump up the table. Devoid of ideas. Swansea deserved to win.

  17. 'Confidence is high'published at 14:07 British Summer Time 30 April 2017

    Man United 1-1 Swansea

    Swansea City

Swansea midfielder Leon Britton, on BT Sport: "The performance was very good, we showed great spirit and it was a fantastic free-kick from Gylfi. The belief is there. The confidence is high now."

Gylfi Sigurdsson: "It was good for me over the past three years, scoring in each game here. That was an important goal here today and this might be a big point come the end of the season."

  18. HITS THE WOODWORKpublished at 14:07 British Summer Time 30 April 2017

    Everton 0-0 Chelsea

Great start for Everton! Dominic Calvert-Lewin whistles a shot in, it takes a nibble off a black shirt and possibly the fingers of Thibaut Courtois, and then hits the base of the post!

Romelu Lukaku can't find the loose ball.

  19. CLOSE!published at 14:06 British Summer Time 30 April 2017
