We are under way at the Aviva Stadium. After their Euro 2016 heroics, Iceland have made a good start to their World Cup campaign so this could be a tricky game for the under-strength Irish.

Lionel Messi has been banned for four international matches - just hours before Argentina's World Cup qualifier against Bolivia.

The Barcelona forward was punished for directing "insulting words" at an assistant referee in Thursday's 1-0 win over Chile.

Messi, who scored the only goal in the qualifier, was angered when he was flagged for a foul, waving and shouting at the assistant in response.

The 29-year-old was also fined £8,100.

The two sides last met in September 1997 during a World Cup qualifier in Reykjavik.

Roy Keane was on target twice with David Connolly and Mark Kennedy also netting for Mick McCarthy's team.

Fun fact: Roy Keane is a big snooker fan. I met him while working at The Crucible during the World Championship last year and asked him for a selfie.

    Bad move.

And that leads us onto today's chat.

For their bright orange kits, their sublime moments of skill and implosions at major tournaments, the Netherlands have always held fond memories for myself and probably you too.

    So the question is:

Who is your favourite Dutch footballer of all time and why?

Who can ever forget Dennis Bergkamp's touch, turn and finish against Argentina at the 1998 World Cup.

    In case you missed it...

The Netherlands sacked head coach Danny Blind on Sunday after two years in charge.

It followed  a 2-0 defeat by Bulgaria  on Saturday that leaves the Netherlands fourth in their World Cup qualifying group at the halfway stage.

Blind, 55, took over as coach from Guus Hiddink in 2015, but his side failed to qualify for the European Championships in France last summer.

The Dutch FA said, external  recent results left the team "with difficulty qualifying for the World Cup in Russia".

Former Ajax goalkeeper Fred Grim will take charge as interim coach when the Netherlands face Italy today.

FC Rostov striker Aleksandr Bukharov - Manchester United fans will know about him - scored a late equaliser for Russia as they came from 3-1 to draw 3-3 against Belgium. Crystal Palace front man Christian Benteke netting twice for the Red Devils.

The result means 2018 World Cup hosts Russia have now won just twice in their last 13 international fixtures. Ideal preparation going into next year then.

Ex-Manchester City striker Edin Dzeko netted a penalty as Bosnia-Herzegovina beat Albania 2-1, while Croatia suffered a surprise 3-0 loss in Estonia.
