Guess who? Glenn Murray tucks in first time from six yards out after good work down the right from Bruno. Too easy.

Perfect start for Brighton. Birmingham will be frustrated.

  2. No Helder Costa for Wolves...published at 19:49 British Summer Time 4 April 2017

    Wolves 0-0 Nottingham Forest

As we get up and running elsewhere in the Championship too, we can tell you about a late change to the Wolves starting XI because Helder Costa has pulled up during the warm up.

Nouha Dicko comes into the team in his place, with Jack Price elevated to the bench.

    Derby v Fulham (19:45 BST)

It could be a pivotal night for Derby and Fulham. Which way will the play-off pendulum swing?

Kick-off around the grounds on this Spring Tuesday night is coming up next!

(Except at Reading, where they're getting started at 20:00 BST).

  5. Why have Brighton made four changes?published at 19:42 British Summer Time 4 April 2017

    Brighton v Birmingham (19:45 BST)

    Warren Aspinall
    Ex-Brighton striker on BBC Sussex

I can understand with two games in four days to rest Sebastien Pocognoli and I understand the change of Bong to come in who is solid at left-back.

I can see a rest for some of the players. Great to see Tomori on the bench, who can play in all four positions.

  6. Can Wigan pull off 'Great Escape'?published at 19:40 British Summer Time 4 April 2017

    Ipswich v Wigan (19:45 BST)

    Paul Rowley
    BBC Radio Manchester

Time is running out for the Latics if they're to pull off another of their Great Escape acts which became almost routine in their Premier League days.

Interim manager Graham Barrow has been pleased with his side's commitment in his first two games in charge against 'big name' clubs Aston Villa and Newcastle United, even though they lost both.

Seven games left, seven points from safety, Wigan will be in seventh heaven if they can secure victory at Portman Road, a ground where they've only lost once in four league visits, winning two of them.

Matt Baxter: Newcastle Utd, Brighton, and Leeds to go up. Blackburn, Wigan, and Rotherham to go down.

Matt Price: Might seem crazy to say but still possible. Think Newcastle will crash out of the promotion race. Will fall to 3rd, lose in play-offs

Stuart Rutter: On the train back from Bristol, need #bbcefl, external to keep me updated on #avfc, external still believe we have a slim chance of the playoffs!!

We've got your back, Stuart, but we're not sure we're going to be able to help you with that play-off push...

Sheffield Wednesday have dropped out of the top six, and missing out on the play-offs would be a step backwards after making last year's final.

Fernando Forestieri, Tom Lees, Sam Hutchinson and Gary Hooper have all missed significant time through injury and they made up the core of last year's successful squad. But manager Carlos Carvalhal has to find a way to provide better service for Jordan Rhodes.

Rotherham are relegated and preparing for next season. They'll make an announcement on their permanent manager on Wednesday and interim boss Paul Warne is expected to get the job.

They are playing for pride but they'd like nothing more than to get a home victory against their local rivals.

Three days after beating Leeds, Reading have another game at the Madejski Stadium.

This time they face Blackburn - who are currently in the relegation zone. Reading know a win will propel them up to third spot, at least for 24 hours, until Huddersfield play Norwich.

Reading's success this season has been built on their home form. With only the three teams currently in the relegation zone still to play at the Madejski Stadium, they have already won 44 points at home.

Jaap Stam does have a growing injury list to contend with. Two of his central defensive options - Paul McShane and Joey van den Berg, are both out with hamstring injuries.

Danny Williams limped off, supported by two team-mates after the Leeds win. Callum Harriott, Stephen Quinn, Tiago Ilori and Denis Rakells are all longer-term absentees.

  10. Can Fulham stay in the top six?published at 19:31 British Summer Time 4 April 2017

    Derby v Fulham (19:45 BST)

    Ryan FredericksImage source, Rex Features

Fulham defender Ryan Fredericks told BBC Radio London:

"We're finally in the play-off places, now the main thing is we've got to stay in there.

"We haven't been beaten by a team playing better football than us all season, when we've lost games it's when we haven't played too well and made sloppy mistakes.

"I think the teams around us are looking at us and know we're strong, and they probably don't think we're going to drop too many points from now until the end of the season, and we don't either."

When these two sides met for 17 December's reverse fixture - Gianfranco Zola's first in charge of the Blues - there were just six league places and 11 points between them.

Two wins in 18 league games under Zola later, Birmingham find themselves 16 league places and 34 points below the high-flying Seagulls.

Things had started so well at St Andrew's for the Italian - his side led 1-0 through Lukas Jutkiewicz's opener.

But late goals from Anthony Knockaert and Glenn Murray gave Chris Hughton's side a late win and the Blues have slowly moved down the table ever since.

Preston v Bristol City: Preston make a couple of changes, with Callum Robinson and Alex Baptiste, who both came on at half-time of the draw with Nottingham Forest, both coming into the team; the Robins make just one change to the side beaten by Brentford on Saturday, with the injured Gary O'Neil replaced by Jens Hegeler in midfield.

Rotherham v Sheff Wed: Midfielder Lee Freckinlington misses out for Rotherham through injury, but Danny Ward has been passed fit to play; The Owls start with a front three of Steven Fletcher, Jordan Rhodes and Gary Hooper, with Sam Winnall dropping to the bench and Fernando Forestieri out injured.

Wolves v Nottingham Forest: Wolves, who have won their last four to move away from the relegation picture, have named an unchanged team; Matt Mills returns to the Nottingham Forest side after a two-month absence with a groin injury.

Reading v Blackburn (20:00 BST): Danny Williams misses out for Reading after hurting his ankle in the win over Leeds, but Reece Oxford gets his first Royals start; Blackburn make three changes to their side, with Hope Akpan, Liam Feeney and Sam Gallagher all coming in.

  13. Championship team newspublished at 19:23 British Summer Time 4 April 2017

Brighton v Birmingham: The hosts make four changes as Bruno, Gaetan Bong, Solly March and Tomer Hemed all come in; The Blues also change four, as Clayton Donaldson starts for the first time since before Gianfranco Zola's arrival in December, while Che Adams, Cheick Keita and Stephen Gleeson also return.

Derby v Fulham: Derby are unchanged after beating QPR on Friday; Fulham make three changes, bringing in Tim Ream, Lucas Piazon and Floyd Ayite.

Ipswich v Wigan: The hosts' four changes see them bring in Steven Taylor, Myles Kenlock, Toumani Diagouraga and Emyr Huws; The Latics change three as Craig Morgan, David Perkins and Ryan Colclough return.

There are four matches in League One tonight, topped by sixth-placed Southend United hosting second-placed Bolton .

The Shrimpers have won four on the bounce, including a 3-0 win against Oldham after going down to 10 men on Saturday, while Bolton would go 10 points clear of Fleetwood in third with victory in Essex.

Millwall , hot on Southend's heels in seventh, travel to relegation-threatened Shrewsbury , and fellow strugglers Port Vale visit Rochdale .

Charlton , who are only four points above the relegation zone, host boss Karl Robinson's former side  MK Dons .

    Brighton v Birmingham (19:45 BST)

With leaders Newcastle not in action until tomorrow, Brighton would go top of the Championship tonight if they win at home to Birmingham.

Also, if other results were to go their way, the Seagulls could mathematically secure at least a play-off spot tonight.

But, perhaps more significantly, with third-placed Huddersfield not in action for another 24 hours, Chris Hughton's men have the chance to open up a 12-point gap over their automatic promotion rivals.

  19. Are Rowett's Rams still in the hunt?published at 19:05 British Summer Time 4 April 2017

    Derby v Fulham (19:45 BST)

Last week, new Derby boss Gary Rowett said his side were not out of the play-off picture. At that stage, the Rams were nine points adrift of sixth spot.

Now, with seven matches left, there are seven points below tonight's sixth-placed opponents, Fulham. Can the Rams still make a very late push for the play-offs?

Well, mathematically, if they were to win all of their remaining games, it would them seem possible - such a scenario would see Derby finish with 77 points, which would usually be just about enough.

But realistically, anything but a win tonight, against Slavisa Jokanovic's visiting play-off hopefuls, would surely end Derby's bid for Wembley.
