Thank you very much for your company. I hope you can join our coverage over the weekend as Celtic chase records and Hamilton and Inverness fight for their lives. I'll leave you with this image of Paul Dixon's header about to loop beyond Falkirk goalkeeper Robbie Thomson. What a stunning comeback by the Taysiders. Their fans were a credit to them and they will doubtless be celebrating tonight. Can they now get past Accies or Caley Thistle?

  2. All about desirepublished at 22:13 British Summer Time 19 May 2017

FT Falkirk 1-2 Dundee United (agg 3-4)

Dundee United manager Ray McKinnon: "It's great credit to the lads. The desire to win games is there. We were down to the bare bones and they delivered. I said to them at half-time to believe that if they scored the next goal they would go on and win the game. The fans have been unbelievable all season. I am delighted for them. I think they know the players care and they want to get this promotion. We know we are only two-thirds of the way. We have given ourselves a real chance."

  3. 'Falkirk have done remarkably well'published at 22:06 British Summer Time 19 May 2017

FT Falkirk 1-2 Dundee United (agg 3-4)

Falkirk manager Peter Houston: "I thought we were in control until 31 minutes into the second half when they got their equaliser. A bug bear of ours is that we get into good positions but then our final ball isn't good enough. I thought they started the second half better but then we got back in control of the game. I'm a great believer in stopping crosses at source, before they come in to the box. Paul Dixon has come in at the back post against Tom Taiwo and his header has come off Tom and looped over Robbie Thomson. I don't think we deserved that but good luck to Dundee United. I wish them well in the final. We have to look through the summer and find some players who will enhance the squad. For a club with the resources we have the players have done remarkably well. It's not a night for criticising players. There was nothing between the teams and a freak goal has won them the match."

  4. 'Massive games coming up'published at 21:58 British Summer Time 19 May 2017

FT Falkirk 1-2 Dundee United (agg 3-4)

Dundee United match-winner Paul Dixon: "I was watching the game and there were three or four balls that have come through the back. I decided to go to the back post and luckily it worked out. The dressing room is absolutely buzzing, coming from behind at Falkirk's place. What a feeling to get into the final with a comeback like that. Ray sat us down at half-time and told us to focus and get the football going. It is different playing on a plastic pitch but we got to grips with it. In the second half we went for it and got the rewards. It's going to be a tough two games whether it's Hamilton or Inverness. We will just recover now and focus on these two games coming up because they are massive for the club."

  5. United count cost of four play-off gamespublished at 21:51 British Summer Time 19 May 2017

FT Falkirk 1-2 Dundee United (agg 3-4)

Former Falkirk midfielder Derek Ferguson: "Willo Flood, how he kept going for that length of time, is beyond me. I thought he had pulled a hamstring. Fraser came off, they've already lost Murdoch so they are down to the bare bones. The play-off is heavily weighted in favour of the Premiership side. That's three injuries that have occurred and there have been the bookings as well."

You wouldn't have predicted that at half time. It was a fantastic second-half performance by Dundee United. Simon Murray led by example at centre forward. His work rate and energy levels were unfathomable! The United support throughout that second half was like an extra man for them. They have dragged their team back into the game. The winner from Paul Dixon was a bit fortuitous, coming off the Falkirk player and spinning into the net, but on the second-half performance alone, they deserved to win this match.

GOAL Falkirk 1-1 Dundee Unitedpublished at 76 mins

    SImon Murray (76 mins)

It's a horror moment for the Falkirk defence. Luca Gasparotto doesn't deal with a high ball and Aaron Muirhead then gets the ball caught under his feet. Simon Murray has enough of the dilly-dallying and dispossesses Muirhead, opens up his body to offer more of the goal to choose from and dinks the ball past Robbie Thomson. It's a confident finish and it sends the tangerine-clad fans into raptures.
