  1. Miller in the thick of itpublished at 26 mins

Progres Niederkorn 0-0 Rangers (agg 0-1)

Niko Kranjcar is taking Rangers' set pieces. His corner kick drifts to the opposite corner where Lee Wallace is lurking to knock the ball across the face of goal where Kenny Miller attempts a diving header...and fails.

  2. Risky from Morelospublished at 24 mins

Progres Niederkorn 0-0 Rangers (agg 0-1)

Alfredo Morelos tests the patience of the Icelandic referee Vilhjalmur Thorarinsson as he makes a head-butting motion towards his opponent off the ball. There wasn't much in it but you've seen red cards shown for that sort of thing.

  3. Progres threatenpublished at 21 mins

Progres Niederkorn 0-0 Rangers (agg 0-1)

The yellow-shirted hosts give the travelling fans cause for alarm as they make their way into the Rangers box. Rangers clear it but only as far as Mike Schneider who shoots over the bar from 18 yards when he had time, surely, to get it on target.

  4. Kranjcar cranks one overpublished at 17 mins

Progres Niederkorn 0-0 Rangers (agg 0-1)

Lee Wallace bursts his way down to the goal-line on the left and cuts the ball back to the edge of the box. Alfredo Morelos lets the ball run between his legs, allowing Rangers midfielder Niko Kranjcar to stab a side-footed shot at goal - too high, though.

  5. Nervy momentpublished at 14 mins

Progres Niederkorn 0-0 Rangers (agg 0-1)

There has been precious little goalmouth action, though the hosts now have a chance as James Tavernier commits a foul out on the left. Spotting Rangers goalie Wes Foderingham positioned rather too far to the right, Olivier Thill tries to arrow one in at the near post, but his shot goes wide.

  6. Luxembourg's fourth finestpublished at 11 mins

Progres Niederkorn 0-0 Rangers (agg 0-1)

Progres Niederkorn won a place in the Europa League qualifiers thanks to a fourth-place finish in their domestic league. If you can name the three teams who finished above them, I salute you! (Answer: F91 Dudelange, FC Differdange 03, CS Fola Esch.)

  7. Rangers in controlpublished at 8 mins

Progres Niederkorn 0-0 Rangers (agg 0-1)

    Quote Message

Rangers are dominating the ball and Kenny Miller has had that half chance. But Niederkorn are going to be hard to break down.

  8. First chance goes to Gerspublished at 6 mins

Progres Niederkorn 0-0 Rangers (agg 0-1)

Niko Kranjcar pings in a corner kick from the right, a Rangers player gets his head to it and the ball falls to striker Kenny Miller, who swivels and shoots straight at the home goalkeeper Sebastian Flauss.

  9. Early doorspublished at 3 mins

Progres Niederkorn 0-0 Rangers (agg 0-1)

Rangers are in their traditional light blue jerseys, with white shorts and white socks; Progres are in yellow and black. Think Alloa but a bit more yellowy.

    Progres Niederkorn 0-0 Rangers

The game is being played at Luxembourg's national stadium rather than Niederkorn's home ground, which is a 25-minute drive away from Luxembourg City. We are under way.

Rangers have got another five days under their belt. It's so important for them to get through here. If they were to get knocked out tonight it would be an absolute disaster.

  15. Caixinha craves attacking freedompublished at 18:34 British Summer Time 4 July 2017

    Progres Niederkorn v Rangers (18:45)

Manager Pedro Caixinha told RangersTV: "We are looking forward to it because we expect the players to perform very well today. The players are doing fantastic, they are believing in the process, which is very important, and today is going to be interesting to watch them.

"We are trying to balance the squad. We trust and believe and have total confidence in each one of them. We are a competitive squad and in order for you to be competitive outside, you have to be competitive inside your own squad.

"With Jordan (Rossiter) and Ryan (Jack), we want to have more balance in the middle. We want to give more freedom to the players in attack, that they know they have coverage behind, and that led us to the changes we made for tonight."

Progres Niederkorn v Rangers (18:45 BST)

It is hard to believe that as recently as 2008 Rangers played in the final of the tournament that preceded the Europa League, the Uefa Cup. They lost 2-0 to Zenit St Petersburg in the final in Manchester. Tonight, in their first European away match in six years, they are at lowly Progres Niederkorn, who finished fourth in Luxembourg's top flight.

  20. McKay and Alves absentpublished at 18:17 British Summer Time 4 July 2017

Progres Niederkorn v Rangers (18:45 BST)

Rangers' 22-year-old midfielder Barrie McKay is not with Rangers for this one. His future looks likely to be away from Ibrox, with speculation that he is on his way to be reunited with former manager Mark Warburton at Nottingham Forest.

Another player not in Pedro Caixinha's squad is summer signing Bruno Alves, the veteran defender having been on Confederations Cup duty with Portugal.
