BBC Radio Bristol's commentator reliably informs me that Aston Villa have lost 50 of their past 80 away league games.

Yes, that takes in to account some Premier League campaigns, but still, it's not a great stat from a Villa point of view, is it?

Can they get their first away win of the season tonight? They showed some encouraging signs in the final 10 minutes of that first half. Their travelling fans would love to see them get three points.

Meanwhile, in League Two, Notts County are 1-0 up at home to Accrington Stanley, thanks to Jon Stead's 33rd-minute penalty.

One man in particular has been key, with Kamil Grosicki scoring the hosts' third after setting both Jarrod Bowen and Adama Diomande up inside the opening 20 minutes.

It's not been a classic at Ashton Gate, but it's a decent game.

Villa seemed to adjust as the half went on. They switched to 4-4-2 halfway through the half and that seems to have countered the problems they were experiencing early on.

Andre Green and Kienan Davis combine to provide for Ahmed Elmohamady in the area, but the angle is tight and Fielding scampers out to make the save at the Villa man's feet.

Oh dear. Josh Onomah shoots from around 30 yards out but it's found it's way up to row Z. A good Villa move is wasted.

Now Villa have a free-kick in an interesting position, as Josh Onomah is clattered by Nathan Baker... But Conor Hourihane's in-swinger is claimed easily by keeper Frank Fielding.

At the other end, Villa's first corner is punched clear by Bristol City keeper Frank Fielding.

Marlon Pack clips the free-kick in for Bristol City, and a bit of head tennis follows in the Villa box, but the visitors eventually get it away. They're strong in the air, Steve Bruce's side.

The Robins' Bobby Reid has four league goals to his name already this term. The 24-year-old is in terrific form and looks lively tonight as well.

Villa will need to keep him as quiet as possible.

When they break forward with Bobby Reid, Famara Diedhiou and Jamie Paterson all together, Bristol City look very dangerous, and that trio have all started the season well.

This time, from a Paterson cross, Diedhiou's shot is comfortably saved by Sam Johnstone.

Ned: Neil Warnock says he just wants another central midfielder, and I think that's about right. Good start, now need to build on it.

Top of the table with four wins from four Championship matches. Going very nicely, one would say!

Bristol City fans want a penalty as Bobby Reid goes over in the area, but replays show Christopher Samba didn't touch him.
