    Arsenal 1-0 Bournemouth

Alexandre Lacazette sets up Granit Xhaka, but he can't keep his shot down.

    All Arsenal at the moment.

    Arsenal 1-0 Bournemouth

Arsenal exchange some slick passing and Alexandre Lacazette races into the box, but the ref calls it back for a free-kick.

The Gunners would probably have preferred advantage to be played there.

Ozil takes the free-kick and with a very lackadaisical shot, almost finds the top corner, forcing a diving save from Begovic.

    Arsenal 1-0 Bournemouth

Granit Xhaka has a dig from distance and his shot is put out for a corner by Asmir Begovic.

Nothing comes off the resulting set piece.

Sead Kolasinac looks a real live wire down the left, where all the Arsenal attacks are coming from.

GOAL - Welbeckpublished at 6 mins

    Arsenal 1-0 Bournemouth

Sead Kolasinac drives down the left wing and floats in a cross which is met unconvincingly by Danny Welbeck.

The header from close rage, which looks like it also came off his chest, just evades Asmir Begovic and goes in.

Rarely can a team have gone into their second home game of the season with as much baggage as Arsenal this weekend.

Any feel-good factor in the summer following the FA Cup and Community Shield victories over Chelsea has already evaporated with a poor start to the season on the field and a shambolic end, external to the transfer window off it.

The international break provided more than enough time for everyone to digest and discuss the nature of the 4-0 thrashing at Liverpool, so only a convincing performance will ease some of the tension.

Bournemouth are one of three Premier League teams still looking for their first point. They've never avoided defeat away to Arsenal before, but did give them a fright in January, leading 3-0 at home before being pegged back to 3-3.

Earlier Alexis Sanchez received his player of the year award on the pitch for last season.

To say he looked underwhelmed would be an understatement.

Jack Wilshere is not playing today but he is in an executive box, in a red tie and grey cardigan, sipping what looks like a hot chocolate or a latte out of one of those annoying glass mugs.

Bournemouth have conceded five goals this season, scoring just one but here's a stat that will boost their confidence of getting a result this afternoon. Arsenal have conceded an average of 1.43 goals per league game in 2017, their highest rate in a calendar year since 1965.

I’ve been watching the facial expressions of Arsenal supporters arriving here at The Emirates and how they greet familiar faces who sit in seats nearby them.

There have been lots of grimaces and knowing looks. Not many smiles. It’s been a long international break if you are an Arsenal fan… as they wait to see what the reaction will be to the heavy defeat at Anfield…

If Arsenal lose today it will be their worst start to a season since 82-83, under Terry Neill.

So Bournemouth brought in Nathan Ake, Jermain Defoe and Asmir Begovic and have zero Premier League points to show for it so far this season.

    Played three, lost three.

Arsenal on the other hand, signed France striker Alexandre Lacazette for a club record £46.5m and left-back Sead Kolasinac on a free.

They then spent the last week of August desperately clinging onto Alexis Sanchez, while selling Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and failing to bring in Thomas Lemar.

Matters were worse on the field.

Played three, won one (4- 3 against Leicester) and lost two (to Stoke and Liverpool).

Not great reading for either side and one needs to stop the rot today.

The big news from the Emirates is that Alexis Sanchez, who was so close to leaving to join Manchester City on deadline day, is on the bench.

Arsenal makes three changes from the side that lost 4-0 to Liverpool last time out.

Alexandre Lacazette, Sead Kolasinac and Shkodran Mustafi come in for Rob Holding, Sanchez and the now departed Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.
