    We've got our breath back after another exciting, goal-filled batch of Irish Premiership fixtures. Just the 19 goals to chew on today. Glenavon are sitting pretty at the top of the table on goal difference ahead of Linfield and Coleraine. All three teams have maximum points so far.

    There are four fixtures on Friday night. They are Ards v Dungannon, Glenavon v Glentoran, Carrick v Ballinamallard and Coleraine v Warrenpoint Town. That is followed by two big games on Saturday as Cliftonville host Crusaders and David Jeffrey takes on his old side Linfield at Windsor Park.

  2. Healy responds to Smyth speculation

    Linfield boss David Healy was also asked about the supposed interest in forward Paul Smyth. Here's what he said.

    Well, I think there has been speculation surrounding Paul but he wants to play and I want to play him - I think that was evident, particularly considering that he scored. All I can say is that he is a valuable member of the squad and will remain that way until the club accepts a bid for him. We are looking to strengthen the squad before the window closes, especially if players become available.

    The most important thing is getting the win. Until we got the first goal it was difficult but that gave us the platform and I was delighted to go into the dressing room at half-time three up. We moved up a gear in the second-half, but even when we weren't that convincing we were always in control of the game. I'm delighted with the win and the clean sheet, and it's on to the next one.

    The clean sheet was massive for us after conceding three at home on the first day and then five at Crusaders on Tuesday. Nicking the winner was the icing on the cake. We wanted a better performance and felt we had the firepower up front to get a goal. It was Darren Murray's third goal in three matches and it is what we want from him. But it is not just about his goals, but also his all-round play.

    I'm shell-shocked. I was very pleased with the first-half. It was competent and decent, we even created some chances. I thought it was even in the half-time. I told the players we needed to keep things tight but the second-half was absolutely embarrassing, it was inept. I have to apologise to the supporters for that. It was a very harsh lesson today. We made too many basic errors, which were punished. Our decision-making was off but I can't understand that we can produce a second-half performance like that after keeping it tight in the first.

    I'm disappointed. We didn't compete and didn't deserve to win. Coleraine were hungrier, more lively and more focused. We thought we could kick it around. A lack of competitiveness, individually and collectively. It's a clueless performance. I'm embarrassed. We have swanned about like prima-donnas out there. They know my feelings on it. It was a load of rubbish. When you don't listen to instructions, what else can you expect? If they can't figure that out, we have some very big problems ahead of us. We have to remember what we've achieved in the past but we need to get back onto the training pitch and go again.

    Our performance was much better than Tuesday and deserved to win the win the game but we didn't. We missed that many opportunities in the second half so it's disappointing. We've done really well defensively because they didn't have many clear-cut chances but we didn't take our own. I'm pleased with the reaction I've got from Tuesday night. There is still plenty of work to be done with this squad but we'll keep working hard and I'm confident it will come together in the end.

    A point apiece at Ferney Park as Cliftonville rue a string of missed chances. Ryan Murray's early penalty put the Mallards ahead but the Reds rescue a point through Garry Breen's header.

    It's not the emphatic response Barry Gray would demanded following the defeat at Coleraine, but it's certainly better than back-to-back losses.

    That's it! Coleraine follow up their win over Cliftonville with a fantastic away victory at Seaview! First-half goals headers from Eoin Bradley and Stephen O'Donnell lifts Oran Kearney's men to a brilliant three points. That's three wins from three for the Bannsiders.

    Crusaders pulled one back right at the death through Jordan Forsythe but it will go down as a bitterly disappointing result for last season's runners-up.
