Fantastic from Lucy Bronze. She said she wanted to go to Lyon to improve technically and it looks like she has had some shooting practice. Excellent.
Lucy Bronze
An absolute peach from Lucy Bronze.
Russia only half clear the corner after Toni Duggan's rampaging run and the right-back controls on her chest, glances up and slaps a volley off her instep and into the top corner from 18 yards.
Look out for the clip of that when it lands here soon...
England 3-0 Russia
Toni Duggan tears into the Russia penalty area, a whirlwind of stepovers, feints and physicality and is only denied by a great save from Tatyana Shcherbak.

England have started so well, there is a real togetherness there that has been there since the Euros. It's just brought them closer together.
England 3-0 Russia
A cynical hack at Lucy Bronze as the England right-back rampages forward earns Russia's Nadezhda Smirnova a yellow card.

The only thing that Fran Kirby hasn't done is score a goal. She's set all three up and has been excellent with her vision.
Jordan Nobbs
Missed penalty apart, Fran Kirby has been absolutely stellar tonight.
Another twinkle-toed run into the box draws a mob of red-shirted defenders to the Chelsea attacker.
She could shot, but she has the vision to spot Jordan Nobbs in a better position.
A neat lay-off and Nobbs drills into the bottom corner.
A very impressive opening half so far.
England 2-0 Russia
A period of perestroika as Russia reorganise.
Midfielder Anna Cholovyaga is subbed off and Anna Belomyttseva is pushed on in her place for the under-manned visitors.
England 2-0 Russia
Fran Kirby's penalty is a scuffy little trundler and goalkeeper Tatyana Shcherbak has time to react, sticking out a shin to get the ball up and away.
England still two up. And I don't think they will rue that one too much in the final reckoning.

It's a tough one because Tsybutovich is facing away from the ball and it's so close to her but it does hit her arm. I think the first one was more of a penalty.
England 2-0 Russia
And Ksenia Tsybutovich is heading home for a very early bath.
She sees a second yellow for that handball.
Russia's task gets a whole lot harder.
England 2-0 Russia
Fran Kirby's shot clonks Ksenia Tsybutovich right on the hand.
That's a pen...
England 2-0 Russia
The combination of Lucy Bronze and Nikita Parris down the right is looking lively for England.
A promising free-kick position...

The Russians just can't cope with England's movement, the way they are interchanging positions. England are dealing very well with a team they knew were going to be sitting back.
England 2-0 Russia
Another crisply-hit set-piece.
This time at the opposite end as Ksenia Tsybutovich absolutely pings one from 25 yards.
Siobhan Chamberlain looks to have got a little finger on the ball to tip it over the top, but French referee Stephanie Frappart gives the goal-kick instead.
It was a decent save to be honest. Chamberlain might well have taken conceding the corner in exchange for the credit.
England 2-0 Russia
Steph Houghton pulls rank to take the free-kick from fully 30 yards out.
The England captain gets some filthy swerve on her shot, but not quite enough to take it into the top corner with Tatyana Shcherbak struggling to cover her ground in the Russia goal.
England 2-0 Russia
Russian centre-back Ksenia Tsybutovich is the first player into the book as she is shown yellow for a clumsy challenge.
England 2-0 Russia
The England band are tooting on the brass.
Out on the pitch, their team have got the cigars out. Or whatever the modern sports-science approved version is. Perhaps vaping sticks.
Anyway.
The hosts are dominant and only a little bit of over-elaboration prevents Jodie Taylor getting a shot away from the edge of the box as she shimmers, stutters and is eventually robber.

That was magnificent. That first goal was so significant. You can see the togetherness of the group and you can visibly see what it means to Sampson.
