Injured Burnley goalkeeper Tom Heaton, speaking to Football Focus earlier: "I think you have an idea about how to handle Andy Carroll. The manager's approach is more on how we go about but obviously you are aware of the threats.

"I have played against Andy a few times. He is a physical presence, and I remember him putting a hat-trick past me in a Manchester United against Newcastle reserve team game so I have been aware of him a long time. Aerially he is top draw. We will try to stop him but also focus on our game."

West Ham really need to get going this season, while Burnley have been exceptional and are punching above their weight yet again.

Sean Dyche has established Burnley as a Premier League team, effectively functioning on a shoestring. But sooner or later, sadly for the Clarets, he will move elsewhere because he's a great manager.

It feels like playing away suits the Clarets more at the moment - they like the opposition to come on to them, so they can react to that.

That's why I think this one will end up in a draw, and I don't think either side would be too unhappy with that.

Burnley boss Sean Dyche keeps faith the side which beat Everton 1-0 at Goodison Park last time out. That means in-form striker Chris Wood starts as a lone striker with Jeff Hendrick just behind.

  20. Burnley continue to surprisepublished at 14:32 British Summer Time 14 October 2017

Burnley v West Ham (15:00 BST)

    Martin Fisher
Match of the Day commentator at Turf Moor

It's Burnley's best ever Premier League start, and if their presence in the top six is surprising, so too are the results behind it.

Sean Dyche's men have already surpassed their away points for the WHOLE of last season. The flip side is their uncharacteristic stutters at home - just one win and only one goal.

Although West Ham have yet to win on the road they seem to have addressed their defensive problems which had them bottom in August, and they'll be quietly confident of extending their excellent recent record at Turf Moor.
