Stoke City manager Mark Hughes: "For whatever reason, people talk about pressure; in hindsight the Man City result took a bit longer to get out our system, but we've done that this week and I'm pleased as punch.

"We understood what they would try and do and it was food and drink for our centre halves. We had the better chances; with Saido [Berahino] and Charlie [Adam] at the end...he told me he lost his bearing.

"But overall it's a good performance, we've had a tough set of fixtures. We aren't doing as badly as people make out and we'll be fine.

"We could allow them to have possession of the ball and as long as we didn't make individual errors. They pushed us back in the second half as you might expect."

On the free-kick routine which led to Darren Fletcher's winner: "Mark Bowen [assistant manager] does a lot of work on set plays...I signed it off. We practiced it on Friday and Fletch's efforts weren't as good as they were today. Thankfully it has won us the game."

"It looked very well until we conceded that first goal."

"We gave one gift, the goal. In that moment we lost our focus and they scored a good goal. The second half was mostly our team, they played with 10 men behind the ball. It is normal when a team is in that position in the table.

"We created some chances to change the score, but didn’t. We tried until the end.

"We needed to do something different and in the first half we didn't do that."

Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola is pleased his players "did not panic" after a hard-fought 3-2 away at West Brom to record their eighth successive Premier League win.

City manager Pep Guardiola speaking to BBC MOTD: "We won and that's the most important thing. We didn't panic when it became 1-1 or when it became 3-2 at the end.

"They played five at the back with two strikers which was different. But we started well again and have started scoring earlier.

"Leroy Sane has a special talent and runs in from behind - it's important to do that. He's still young though and there are many things he can improve upon."

On City teenager and England U17 World Cup winner Phil Foden: "Foden played against Manchester United and Real Madrid in the US this summer. He loves to be at City - we will do everything to help him. He is our player and he will be our player for the next year I hope.

"He's so important for English football. These guys will grow. I'm pleased that England won the title."

"If we had not got something then it would have been really really unjust. To lose a game where you only faced two shots and you've had 20-odd, and hit the post and had one cleared off the line, it is hard to take. I'm really pleased how the boys came back to turn it around.

"We are happy with a point but I believe on the performance we deserved more."

Arsenal

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger believes his team have proved their critics wrong after trailing against Everton, Norwich and Swansea this week before fighting back.

"Again we have showed the mental strength to come back and win the game," says the Frenchman.

"I'm convinced that we have proved people wrong at Everton, Norwich and today and that can only make the team stronger."

On climbing into the top four: "We started from deep but have recovered and I think there is more to come."

Crystal Palace

Crystal Palace goalscorer Wilfried Zaha: "We worked so hard. We did all the right things. We are buzzing and we deserved it. The manager said at half-time that we were not playing badly.

"The stress must be crazy as a Palace fan. We are playing cup finals every week."

Liverpool

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp speaking to Match of the Day: "The first half was a little bit stiff, that was clear.

"We didn't want to give them any opportunity for a counter-attack but it was not too difficult to fix it at half-time to create more.

"It was immediately a lot clearer. We were more direct and now it is a nice day! I'm really happy for the boys. It is not always nice."
