    Burnley 0-1 Arsenal

    Burnley

Burnley manager Sean Dyche: "It's difficult because it was a very good performance from us. Overall you're disappointed not in the performance, the outcome."

On the penalty: "It was highly unlikely it wasn't going to get given on a day like today, that's all I'll say."

On how he feels: "There's a lot of me inside, that's raging a lot. It's a coupon buster, I don't think anyone would put a bet on that (the fact they keep losing late against Arsenal). I've told them (the players) we continue to develop, we continue to move forward. I've also told them this is the reality. Football's a harsh game and sometimes it hurts you."

On the performance: "To limit them to very few chances is very pleasing. It's hard to define how you don't get something from the game, but we didn't today. There's so many pleasing things, the growth I talk about, it was on show today."

I am not sure what to make of Pep Guardiola’s choice of coat this afternoon. It looks very stylish, but I have to admit I would prefer to be wearing David Wagner’s training jacket on a day like today.

Huddersfield are doing really well. Yes, they're playing deep but that's what you would expect. You can't press City high up the pitch because you will get picked off far too easy.

You have to keep concentration for the full 90 minutes against this side, one lapse and City will be in.

City have the ball in the net!

A quickly taken free-kick by Kevin De Bruyne finds Sergio Aguero unmarked in the Huddersfield area and the Argentine sweeps it home.

    No goal!

To be fair the offside flag was up very quickly.

Jack: Why is the penalty a controversy? Just because it is in stoppage time with the score at 0-0? Seemed a clear foul to me.

Sam Jamaa: Arsenal fortunate, yes, as they couldn’t unlock the Burnley defence except with a penalty. But no controversy? 100% a penalty.

    Burnley 0-1 Arsenal

    Arsenal

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger: "In the first half we didn't find our game, they stopped us from playing very well. In the second half it was a question of the final ball and patience, not making a mistake at the back. We changed a bit of shape (at half time), I felt we had to give more."

On the penalty: "From outside it looked 100%. I don't know why he pushed him in the back. I would like to see it again."

On Burnley: "They have 22 points and when you play against them you know why. They conceede only two goals at home since the start of the season. They defend extremely well, they are very dangerous on the direct game."

On being back in the top four: "It's early, it changes from one week to another, we wanted to win away from home and we did it. Let's focus on the next one."

    On Huddersfield...

They're not here just to enjoy it, they're probably just ahead of schedule but they want to put in a decent performance. This is almost a free hit for them today, so long as they don't get walloped.

This season itself is a free hit, they're enjoying all these fantastic days but if they survive then it's the second season when the expectation really builds.

    Arsenal

Arsenal defender Laurent Koscielny: "You are always happy because you score a late goal and have three points.

"It was a difficlult game you know, they play very direct, cross very well and upfront they have players who can score headers. We knew it was a difficult game so that is why we are very happy. Burnley played well in the first half and put pressure on us.

(on back to back clean sheets) "It's always important for a defender but also the team. I thought we have the quality to play forward and have opportunity to score.

(on winning after rivals had dropped points) "I think it was very important, more than the Tottenham game. It was crucial to win here."

  20. Can anyone stop City?published at 15:58 Greenwich Mean Time 26 November 2017

Huddersfield v Man City (16:00 GMT)

    Simon Brotherton
    MOTD commentator

Huddersfield have already beaten one Manchester club this season, but will be rank outsiders here against a rampant City side who appear almost unstoppable.

Victory for Pep Guardiola's team would equal the club record of 11 league wins in a row, and the current 10-match winning streak is already their best within a single season.

Huddersfield were thumped 4-0 by the 10 men of Bournemouth on the south coast last week, which doesn't bode well.

However, they've been much more solid at home, conceding only half a dozen goals in total - and four of those came in one afternoon against Tottenham.

They also managed a goalless home draw against City in last season's FA Cup fifth round before losing the replay 5-1.
