    Swansea 0-0 Bournemouth

    It's been a lively start.

First, Joshua King finds space down the right before going beyond Roque Mesa. He crosses for Marc Pugh, but the winger scuffs his shot.

Then, at the other end, Jordan Ayew hits the bar with a shot inside the 18 yard box - though Asmir Begovic seemed to have his angles well covered.

  4. Compassionate absence for the Swanspublished at 14:59 Greenwich Mean Time 25 November 2017

    Swansea v Bournemouth (15:00 GMT)

As we touched on earlier, Swansea City's plight today is worsened by the absence of defender Federico Fernandez.

The Argentine has returned to his home country after his father passed away last night.

He is replaced by Mike van der Hoorn and in his absence, Wilfried Bony wears the captain's armband on his first start since September.

  5. 'Clement confident on job security'published at 14:55 Greenwich Mean Time 25 November 2017

    Swansea v Bournemouth (15:00 GMT)

    Mark Scott
    Match of the Day commentator

Swansea are the only team in the bottom five not to have made a managerial change so far this season and, although losing to Bournemouth would mean five consecutive defeats, Paul Clement is confident his job doesn't hinge on Saturday's result.

Bournemouth were second from bottom themselves six weeks ago, but the Cherries have won three and only lost to Chelsea since then.

While there was understandable attention on their Callum Wilson-inspired goal blitz last weekend, Eddie Howe's men have tightened up defensively of late too.

With Swansea struggling to score, they'll fancy their chances of managing three clean sheets in a row for the first time in the Premier League.

Callum Wilson's hat-trick against Huddersfield last weekend was the first by an Englishman in the Premier League this season.

The former England Under-21 international was making only his second top flight start since rupturing his anterior cruciate ligament in February, and says his goals came as a big surprise...to his son.

    • Swansea could lose five successive English top-flight games for the first time.
    • The Swans have only had 23 attempts on target in 12 league matches this season.

The Swansea players seem very low on confidence, in stark contrast to Bournemouth who have won three of their past four matches after taking four points from their first eight games.

  10. The dreaded vote of confidencepublished at 14:38 Greenwich Mean Time 25 November 2017

    Swansea v Bournemouth (15:00 GMT)

    Michael Pearlman
BBC Wales Sport at the Liberty Stadium

Chairman Huw Jenkins has delivered his backing to boss Paul Clement in the match day programme in what reads very much like the dreaded vote of confidence.

"I'm sure with everyone's support behind the manager and the players we can slowly turn this difficult start to the season around," he writes.

Well Swansea have never beaten Bournemouth in the Premier League, but they really need to do so today to stop the headlines focusing on their manager.

  11. Team newspublished at 14:35 Greenwich Mean Time 25 November 2017

    Swansea v Bournemouth (15:00 GMT)

Swansea City boss Paul Clement makes five changes to the team that lost 2-0 at Burnley.

Wilfried Bony captains the side and starts in place of Tammy Abraham, who is fit enough for the bench after suffering a back injury at Turf Moor.

Ki Sung-Yeung, Roque Mesa and Tom Carroll also start for the Swans in place of Sam Clucas, Leroy Fer and Nathan Dyer respectively.

Federico Fernandez has returned to Argentina following the death of his father; Mike van der Hoorn starts instead at centre-back.

Meanwhile, AFC Bournemouth make one enforced change, with Adam Smith in for the suspended Simon Francis after his red card against Huddersfield last weekend.

Jermain Defoe misses the trip to Swansea because of a calf problem.
