I mean the angle was tough, but again Salomon Rondon should be doing much better.

Played into the box down Mason Holgate's blindside, the striker totally fluffs his shot. He slips, ends up on his bottom as the ball zips into oblivion. Not a great feeling that one.

Gylfi Sigurdsson knocks in another free-kick that doesn't travel beyond the first man. Then Gareth Barry slips up to let Morgan Schneiderlin in down the left but the cross beats everybody.

As West Brom counter, Barry is there to knock a shot into Schneiderlin's legs on the edge of the box.

Everton get us restarted.

No changes from either side at the break.

West Brom have certainly been the more ambitious so far - but the game has dimmed and it feels like both sides have just been going through the motions a bit.

There was a little burst of West Brom activity just before the break, however.

Chris Brunt to inject a bit of excitement with a set piece? Nope, he can't beat the first man.

It comes back to Brunt on the wing - this time he does find a man in the box, but Craig Dawson can only head way over the bar.

OK, honestly this was a decent game in the first half hour. Decent-ish.

Gareth Barry is snoozing and chips a through pass straight to a ball boy. Straight out of play with it - there was no West Brom shirt to aim at. What was he thinking?

West Brom can't get out. The away side have them pinned back but there's no way through. Yannick Bolasie sees a cross fenced away before Tom Davies' through ball is deflected out.

There's plenty of territory for Everton now. What can they do with it?
