Rafa Benitez was back in the Newcastle dugout after missing the win at Swansea last week following surgery, he told Match of the Day: "Normally I am a little bit more agitated, but today I have to be careful, it will take some time to heal, but at least winning is always easier.

"This group of players works very hard. Sometimes we have some problems, but with the chances we can create we know they can give us the points.

"The fans, when you win so many games in a row, they are excited and thinking about Europe - for me it is one game at a time.

"It is a very competitive league and we are learning from that."

Leicester City

Leicester manager Craig Shakespeare speaking to Sky Sports: "We have to look at it as a good point. I thought we were second best especially in the first-half.

"Huddersfield did to us today what we normally do to teams. We were off the pace. To come away from a hard place and get a point was pleasing.

"I think we've played better this season and got nothing for it. Sometimes you do that but as a team collectively we have to be pleased."

Manchester City

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola: "It was so good. Especially after an away game in the Champions League. The way we played as a team, we are so happy.

"I was lucky to manage Barcelona with many outstanding performances but this week has been a lot of goals. We have found our game, we can make short passes and we have a lot of energy from our full-backs.

"The people who come from the bench always give us something new. Clean sheets are a consequence of you controlling the game.

"You have to be serious until the end, goal difference could be important but it is Sergio Aguero's decision [to give the penalty to Raheem Sterling.]"

Newcastle United

Newcastle manager Rafa Benitez talking to Sky Sports: "It is always good when you win and especially when the team is working so hard. Hopefully the fans are enjoying and the team can carry on winning.

"At the end, we were suffering a little bit because we didn't take the chances we had. We had enough chances to manage the game better.

"What is important for us was to start winning and now it is to keep the momentum. We have to keep working hard and we know what we have in the team and the squad.

"Maybe we can lose games, but we have to believe we can win."

Manchester City

Manchester City forward Raheem Sterling: "Everyone's buzzing, it was a great performance. We were really clinical and that's what the manager wants from us.

"We have shown signs of great football but we need to be clinical and in the last few games that's what has happened. I'm always pleased to score.

"Give Sergio Aguero a chance and nine times out of 10 he'll score."

Burnley goalkeeper Nick Pope: "We were really resilient and defended really well. Right from the front we chased every ball, got together and stuck at it, I think we deserved it in the end."

Huddersfield Town

Huddersfield's Tommy Smith speaking to Sky Sports: "We were unfortunate not to win the game and it was a great reaction from the other night.

"We probably deserved to win but we'll take the point and move on. It's a tough league and every point will be vital this season. We can take great pride from our performance.

"If we can keep the same intensity like that at home we will get the points we need."

Manchester City

Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero, holding the match ball: "I am very happy and I will continue to work as it goes on. I am focused on scoring the next goal but what matters is that we won."

Midfielder Ilkay Gundogan: "I don't know if it was perfect but after a tough week with a lot of travelling it was impressive and absolutely deserved. The way we played was amazing. Sergio is a goal machine, his last goal was incredible. It showed all his ability."

Newcastle United

Jamaal Lascelles, who scored the winner for Newcastle: "Ultimately it's three wins and we're really pleased, but today it could have been three, four, five goals. We had a lot of chances and it was a great intensity from the boys from the start.

"We won't get too complacent."
