    Leeds 0-0 Middlesbrough

Leeds attack - Pablo Hernandez plays a long ball to Ezgjan Alioski and eventually works it to Gaetano Berardi, but he sends a tame shot towards Middlesbrough goalkeeper Darren Randolph.

At the other end, Marcus Tavernier latches onto a dangerous ball across goal from Martin Braithwaite and the visitors are unfortunate not to score, before Stewart Downing fires from long range to force a fine save out of Andy Lonergan.

This is perking up a bit now!

    Leeds 0-0 Middlesbrough

Pablo Hernandez battles for the ball with Stewart Downing and he almost catches the Middlesbrough midfielder with a high boot.

The referee gives a free-kick much to the annoyance of the home crowd.

    Leeds 0-0 Middlesbrough

Britt Assombalonga is felled by Gaetano Berardi in the box as he tries to latch onto a corner.

The Middlesbrough man protests for a penalty and to be honest, I can understand why. Berardi isn't even looking at the ball and it's a cynical foul that should have resulted in a spot kick in my opinion.

    He's a lucky man.

    Leeds 0-0 Middlesbrough

At the other end, Leeds are knocking the ball around well and win a corner after George Friend smashes into Ezgjan Alioski.

It's delivered into the box towards Kemar Roofe, but Connor Roberts' robust defending keeps him away from the ball.

Middlesbrough win a free-kick which is launched into the box by Stewart Downing but it's cleared by the hosts who eventually win back possession.

There's a fine atmosphere being created by the home fans this afternoon.

As I've said, Middlesbrough boss Garry Monk returns to Leeds United for the first time since leaving them this summer to take on the job at the Riverside.

But what about your club? Have you had any nightmare returns from one of your former managers? Or did you get one over them and thump them 5-0?

Is this the point in the season that one of the Championship's big spenders make their assault on the top of the table?

After losing 1-0 away against current leaders Wolves on the opening day, Middlesbrough have won seven of their 15 league games since and £15m striker Britt Assombalonga's eight goals have certainly helped towards that tally.

After a five-game winless run, which included two defeats, Boro have won their last three games on the bounce including winning against local rivals Sunderland last time around.

A win could help them leapfrog Aston Villa into fifth place today.

This man could be in for a feisty reception back to Elland Road today.

Garry Monk left his position as Leeds United head coach to take on the job at Middlesbrough this summer and, after a recent league blip, Boro have stabilised their form this term.

It's very much a case of honours even with regards to Monk's Championship record with today's two teams. After 16 games last season, Leeds had 26 points.

Middlesbrough's points total going into today's game - which is also after 16 games played? 26 points.

This man will want to end his side's losing run this afternoon.

Thomas Christiansen's Leeds United have lost six of their last seven Championship games, which is quite the contrast on the beginning of the season when they won seven of their opening nine games in all competitions.

Is today the day that losing run comes to an end?

But which club will be victorious this afternoon?

Leeds and Middlesbrough are both targeting a return for the Premier League and, after the international break, three points would do nicely for both sides today.

Can Leeds end a three-game losing run? Can Middlesbrough make it four wins out of four?

Stay with me - kick-off is approaching shortly.
