The Real Madrid midfielder picks out Inter Milan's Perisic with a great through ball but the shot is blazed over.

Greece badly need a goal to restore hope for the second leg and Kostas Mitroglou heads over when well placed. That could prove crucial.

Fantastic delivery from Chris Brunt - it's lifted the crowd. Josh Magennis got up a little bit too early - he had a player in a better position behind him.

Big chance for Northern Ireland! Chris Brunt swings a free-kick into the box that finds the head of Josh Magennis, but he can only steer his effort wide of goal. That's the best opening they've had all game.

Another good chance for the Swiss as Xherdan Shaqiri fails to steer a floated ball over the top past Michael McGovern from a tight angle.

Just over 20 minutes to go. Switzerland remain in control. Northern Ireland are simply not seeing enough of the ball. The game is being managed away from them.

David Robinson: Fair enough if Switzerland take the lead with a quality goal & they very well may have done the way the game was going, but the ref has just ruined this game. Ref is the wrong side, Evans has his back turned and was 2 yds away from Shaqiri. It can't be a hand ball.

Nick Clohessy: 2 huge decisions tonight have both gone for the Swiss. The tackle on Dallas should have been a red card, and that was never a penalty. Michael O'Neill can only do so much. You need the officials to do their jobs too and they just haven't tonight.

The home side's second change sees George Saville come on for Corry Evans. That will likely be the change for the starting lineup in Switzerland.

Jamie Ward is not giving an inch. He shoves, he snaps, he battles away at Denis Zakaria. It brings only a throw, but also gets the home fans on their feet.

OK, so it's not quite Thierry Henry handball against Republic of Ireland level of injustice, but it is a shocker of a decision. That it may be the defining moment in a team's long effort to qualify for a World Cup finals is brutal.
