Cammy Kerr is a tenacious player and gets up and down that right flank all day for Dundee. But he needs to work on the quality of his delivery. But so do Rangers. The quality of balls into the box by both teams has been non-existent.

Rangers have been the better team, they have started really well. But the game has been frantic. It has been 100mph. Both teams need to slow it down a bit and look for more quality.

I think Kenny Miller should have done better. He got up above the defender and it was a really good opportunity.

  16. Dundee ready to 'have a good go'published at 19:46 Greenwich Mean Time 24 November 2017

    Dundee v Rangers (19:45)

Dundee assistant boss Graham Gartland on BBC Scotland:

"It is a tough game playing Rangers at any time. But if we do our job and commit to what we have been working on all week, we should have a good go at it.

"I think we have been playing well. As much as the clean sheet last week [against Kilmarnock] helped us, we were disappointed we didn't create a lot of chances.

"We want to play front-foot football and take the game to teams. We want to address the attacking side this week, while still protecting our back four."

  19. Rangers fans 'need a lift' - Murtypublished at 19:36 Greenwich Mean Time 24 November 2017

    Dundee v Rangers (19:45)

Interim manager Graeme Murty on RangersTV: "Declan brings natural balance and width with his left foot and his running power. It was just natural for us to bring him back in. It's down to the entire back line to defend.

"[Carlos Pena] always seems to get a goal in training. He gets in the box, he arrives well. We played a couple of practice matches in the week and he scored in those so if I need a goal, he's always another option for us.

"I'm expecting [Dundee] to look at us and quite fancy their chances but that's fine. We have to be able to accommodate that, we have to deal with it and go on and impose ourselves on the game.

"They need to give our fans a lift. As much as our fans can lift the players on the pitch, I think our players can make sure they go home happy tonight."

  20. Bringing back McLeish 'wouldn't be progressive'published at 19:28 Greenwich Mean Time 24 November 2017

    Dundee v Rangers (19:45)

    Steven Thompson
Former Scotland striker on BBC Sportsound

If Derek McInnes appears to be ruling himself out of contention for the Rangers job, who else might the Ibrox board be considering?

Alex McLeish has now become the bookies' favourite, but former Rangers striker Steven Thompson doesn't necessarily think that would be the right move.

"Derek was my first choice," Thompson told BBC Scotland. "If Alex McLeish was brought in, would the fans say that was progressive? It is 16, 17 years now since he became Rangers manager. He was my manager at Rangers and I loved him, but time has moved on.

"As much as he would be seen as a very safe pair of hands, I don't think that would be seen as progressive."
