  4. 'Hull were much more mature'published at 17:50 Greenwich Mean Time 27 January 2018

    Hull City 2-1 Nottingham Forest

Nottingham Forest manager Aitor Karanka told BBC Radio Nottingham:

"I think it was clear that we came here thinking it was going to be an easy game. We can't forget that most of Hull's players are Premier League players.

"[Hull] showed that they were much more mature. We need to improve and we need to grow, especially in personality.

"When you are not experienced enough, you think that because you have won one important game, the following game is going to be easy. I told them before the game but you can learn when you are more mature."

  6. 'We deserved to win'published at 17:44 Greenwich Mean Time 27 January 2018

    Huddersfield 1-1 Birmingham

Huddersfield manager David Wagner: "I think we deserved to win. We had the best clear-cut chances today. We didn't use them and we made individual mistakes.

"It was a game where both teams were very offensive. We had our moments to create opportunities but we didn't do it so it means a re-match.

"I'm not pleased with the result because we wanted to go through to the next round today. I am pleased with the effort and attitude of the players though - even if we made too many mistakes."

Wigan winger Nathan Byrne: "It was a great feeling. Coming through in the replay against Bournemouth, we want to show the ability we have got. Our league form has been good, not conceding goals and we knew we were in with a chance.

"We just want to get as far as we can. There is a big history in the FA Cup here and the fans get a real buzz out of it."

  8. 'Only going to be one winner'published at 17:37 Greenwich Mean Time 27 January 2018

Wigan striker Will Grigg speaking to Match of the Day: "From start to finish we were brilliant, our quality really came out today, It was an enjoyable game to play in. There was only going to be one winner after the first goal went in.

"A Cup run is great. The extra games are no problem for us. If it is a top Premier League team next, we will take that, but if it is someone more local, that is fine for us."

Notts County manager Kevin Nolan speaking to MOTD: "I'm absolutely delighted. I thought the boys were fantastic, and we were unfortunate not to go in the break level, but the reaction in the second half was brilliant.

"The lads' work-rate was brilliant, and the togetherness, and the communication - we were magnificent. I think we showed them a bit too much respect in the first half, but we rattled them early doors in the second half, which was magnificent. And we got the goal in the second half, but we couldn't quite keep it going.

On Jon Stead: "It's his vision in and around the box that does so much for us, and it's his nous that allows him to get in the right areas to score goals, let's hope he continues doing it for us."

  11. 'It was just another match for us'published at 17:14 Greenwich Mean Time 27 January 2018

    Wigan 1-0 West Ham

    Final Score

Wigan striker Will Grigg on Final Score:

"From start to finish we were the best side. We had lots of energy played with a high tempo and thought our quality today was top drawer.

"We take every game as it comes, it was just another match for us and with confidence so high at the moment it was a great day for us.

"We don't mind who we get next. Obviously it would be nice to get one of the big boys but we'll play anyone."

  12. 'Notts County can be proud'published at 17:11 Greenwich Mean Time 27 January 2018

    Notts County 1-1 Swansea

    Chris Waddle
Ex-England winger for Radio 5 live at Meadow Lane

They've worked very hard, Notts County, and they've been very organised at the back, too. And without showing a lot of quality up top, Shola Ameobi and Jon Stead have done a lot of leg-work, and both were involved in the goal. I think they can be proud with their afternoon's work.

  13. Carvalhal - 'We have to give Notts County credit'published at 17:09 Greenwich Mean Time 27 January 2018

    Notts County 1-1 Swansea

    Swansea City

Swansea manager Carlos Carvalhal spaking to MOTD: "We have to give credit to Notts County because they used long balls and physicality to get back in the game. But after it was 1-1 we controlled the game again, we prepared the team to play against a physical team, and we could have scored with three or four chances."

Was the ball in for Notts County's goal? "Kris, my goalkeeper said the ball was out. But I cannot say from where I am - it's the linesman's call - but it was 60 metres from where I was, so I cannot say."

  14. Ameobi - 'Magical things can happen in the FA Cup'published at 17:06 Greenwich Mean Time 27 January 2018

    Notts County 1-1 Swansea

    BBC Sport

Notts County striker Shola Ameobi speaking to BBC Sport: "We got our just rewards for a really tough, battling performance. We're in the draw for the fifth round, and in the FA Cup magical things can happen. We know it'll be a tough order at Swansea, but the team spirit in that dressing room right now is fantastic. We'll go there and give it all we've got."

Andy: This is appalling. The board have a lot to answer for. As does Moyes, looks like he's thrown this one to concentrate on finishing 14th. As usual.

Glen: Guess who’s on fire today?

  16. 'We should've had another goal'published at 17:04 Greenwich Mean Time 27 January 2018

    Notts County 1-1 Swansea

    Final Score

Notts County striker Jon Stead on Final Score:

"We were disappointed to conceded the goal just before half time, thought we limited them to not many clear-cut chances.

"But the response at the start of the second half was great and really we should have scored another goal early on.

"I think we did well and had an equal amount of chances so a draw is probably a fair result."

    David MoyesImage source, Getty Images

This result seemed in the post for West Ham as soon as David Moyes had done his media conference on Friday.

"There is nothing more than to give the Club a day out at Wembley," said Moyes.

If you can sense a 'but' coming, you are not wrong.

"But there's always a bigger picture, and that's keeping us in the Premier League, as the finances are far greater than winning the cup. I'd like to win it, but the priority is making sure we're a Premier League club."

  18. 'Wigan streets ahead'published at 16:59 Greenwich Mean Time 27 January 2018

    Wigan 2-0 West Ham

    Phil Brown
Former Southend manager on BBC Radio 5 live sports extra

It has been a great advert for League One football. Wigan Athletic were streets ahead of West Ham today, I don't care if they're a Premier League side or not they were well beaten.

David Moyes will be very disappointed with that performance and truth be told I'd be frightened of going into that dressing room after that. The away support today deserved better.
