That's all we have time for today. Thanks for joining me for Villarreal's first ever win at the Bernabeu.

If you want some more live football, then Spurs v Everton is a good place for you.

    Three minutes added on.

GOAL - Real Madrid 0-1 Villarrealpublished at 16:57 Greenwich Mean Time 13 January 2018

    Pablo Fornals (87 mins)

SCENES. Unbelievable. Surely Villarreal have won it at the death.

Real Madrid have a corner, but it's cleared - and the visitors break at speed. Denis Cheryshev runs down the left and plays a great ball through to Enes Unal.

His shot is saved by Keylor Navas, but it lands to Pablo Fornals - who launches a sensational chip over Navas from about 20 yards out. Delicious goal.

  8. Postpublished at 16:57 Greenwich Mean Time 13 January 2018

    Real Madrid 0-0 Villarreal

Lucas Vazquez gets away from his defender but his low cross is held by Sergio Asenjo. There's only about three minutes left. This is poor from Real.

  9. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 16:54 Greenwich Mean Time 13 January 2018

    Real Madrid 0-0 Villarreal

Villarreal look to shore things up a bit as Antonio Rukavina, who can play at right-back, replaces Samu Castillejo on the wing.

  10. Postpublished at 16:52 Greenwich Mean Time 13 January 2018

    Real Madrid 0-0 Villarreal

Luka Modric finds Lucas Vazquez, who plays the ball back to the Croat. But his shot from the edge of the area is over the bar. A bit poor really.

  11. Postpublished at 16:49 Greenwich Mean Time 13 January 2018

    Real Madrid 0-0 Villarreal

This really isn't great from Real Madrid. Just over 10 minutes to go.

  12. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 16:46 Greenwich Mean Time 13 January 2018

    Real Madrid 0-0 Villarreal

Villarreal make a change up front - 20-year-old Turkey striker Enes Unal, once of Manchester City, replaces Carlos Bacca.

  13. Postpublished at 16:44 Greenwich Mean Time 13 January 2018

    Real Madrid 0-0 Villarreal

Lucas Vazquez and Cristiano Ronaldo combine, but the ball seems to hit the heel of Ronaldo.

An in-form C-Ron is getting that under control.

  14. Postpublished at 16:42 Greenwich Mean Time 13 January 2018

    Real Madrid 0-0 Villarreal

Ambitious from Real midfielder Casemiro as he curls a shot wide from about 25 yards out.

  15. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 16:41 Greenwich Mean Time 13 January 2018

    Real Madrid 0-0 Villarreal

Gareth Bale's day is over as he is replaced by Lucas Vazquez. Isco comes off with Marco Asensio getting on.

It's not been the big season we all expected from Asensio. Bale is still returning from injury so presumably Zinedine Zidane didn't want to leave him on for 90 minutes.

But they don't really have many proper front men.

  16. Postpublished at 16:39 Greenwich Mean Time 13 January 2018

    Real Madrid 0-0 Villarreal

Dani Carvajal's cross goes past Cristiano Ronaldo and Gareth Bale in the box. There's only about 20 minutes left to score. They'll be 15 points off Barcelona as things stand.

  17. Postpublished at 16:36 Greenwich Mean Time 13 January 2018

    Real Madrid 0-0 Villarreal

Cristiano Ronaldo hits a low shot from the edge of the box but it's held by Sergio Asenjo.

  18. Postpublished at 16:35 Greenwich Mean Time 13 January 2018

    Real Madrid 0-0 Villarreal

Real have a corner, won by Marcelo, but it comes to nothing. Surely we'll see Marco Asensio too.

  19. Postpublished at 16:34 Greenwich Mean Time 13 January 2018

    Real Madrid 0-0 Villarreal

Real midfielder Luka Modric forces a save - albeit a fairly routine one - with a low shot from the edge of the box.

  20. Postpublished at 16:33 Greenwich Mean Time 13 January 2018

    Real Madrid 0-0 Villarreal

Great work from Samu Castillejo down the right - he dodges a Casemiro tackle, plays a one-two with Pablo Fornals and then finds Carlos Bacca - who slams a shot into the side netting.
