Rotherham are in the thick of the promotion race in League One, and they're doing their chances no harm so far tonight, Anthony Forde scoring from 25 yards out to put them 1-0 up against Oxford.

Rivals Blackburn are also showing their class, Adam Armstrong smashing into the top corner to give them a one-goal lead at Portsmouth to move his side into second place as it stands.

Gillingham look well on track for victory tonight too, as Tom Eaves has slotted in their second of the night at Northampton.

That scoreline from Hillsborough is good news for Cardiff fans, and the Bluebirds could be ahead themselves, but Yanic Wildschut's close-range effort is saved by Ben Alnwick.

That's been coming in the past five minutes! Jack Hunt darts in to the box from the right and lays it off for Lucas Joao, on the edge of the area, who slots in to the bottom corner.

It's a good finish and the promotion-chasing Rams are behind!

The hosts are on top for the time being. Frederico Venancio rises highest at a corner, but it's saved by Scott Carson in the Rams goal.

    League Two latest

Excitement aplenty in League Two tonight.

Newport fans might not be enjoying it too much though, as their side are already 2-0 down at promotion hopefuls Mansfield, Alfie Potter getting the second goal there.

Wycombe, who were a goal down against Swindon after one minute, now lead 2-1 thanks to Craig Mackail-Smith's effort.

  9. SUBSTITUTION (Cardiff)published at 20:00 Greenwich Mean Time 13 February 2018

    Cardiff 0-0 Bolton

Unfortunately for Cardiff, Jamie Ward has to go off because of an injury, so on comes Yanic Wildschut after 13 minutes.

    Sheff Wed 0-0 Derby

It's been a relatively even start at Hillsborough, but the hosts have spurned two half-chances, with Sean Clare shooting wide and Adam Reach blazing over.

It'll take something good to get past this experienced Rams backline. As our colleagues at BBC Radio Derby report, the last time Derby conceded as few as 24 goals after 31 league matches of a season was in 1985-86, when the Rams went on to win promotion from the third tier.

    Cardiff 0-0 Bolton

The Bluebirds are unbeaten in four league games and have turned a bit of a corner in the league since ending a run of four straight losses.

Meanwhile, Wanderers have the worst away record in the division.

Is this one a straight-forward, home banker?! We all know football isn't always that simple...

  13. Early goals galorepublished at 19:54 Greenwich Mean Time 13 February 2018

League One and League Two latest

Six goals in Leagues One and Two before all the fans are even in their seats.

Armand Gnanduillet has scored in rather fortuitous fashion to give Blackpool the lead at League One leaders Wigan, while Marcus Maddison has put Peterborough one up against Scunthorpe.

In League Two, Chesterfield and Yeovil are a goal up against Cambridge and Barnet respectively, while it's already 1-1 at Wycombe, where the hosts are taking on Swindon.

Cardiff City Stadium is only about half full tonight, a far cry from the Bluebirds' last home game - a fourth-round FA Cup tie against Manchester City in front of a sell-out crowd.

But with Cardiff vying for promotion, you could argue this evening's match is far more important than that previous outing.

    Port Vale P-P Exeter City

As we've already mentioned, unfortunately, one of tonight's schedule matches was defeated by a waterlogged pitch earlier today, so is OFF.

Port Vale v Exeter City was postponed at 10:30 GMT this morning after an early pitch inspection.

If you're a travelling Exeter fan, hopefully you're not currently scrambling to find a parking space in Burslem.

Meanwhile, Yeovil v Barnet passed a pitch inspection a short while ago and is ON.

Sheffield Wednesday haven't won in the league since Boxing Day and have drawn four and lost one of their five league games since Jos Luhukay took charge.

Under their new Dutch manager, the Owls have scored three times in those five league games.

Tonight they face a Derby side who are unbeaten in the Championship since November, and could move in to second position this evening.
