Swansea City's Portuguese manager Carlos Carvalhal welcomed reporters to Thursday's news conference with homemade tarts.

The pastries, known as Pasteis de Nata, are a traditional Portuguese pastry similar to custard tarts.

Today will be a proud day for Abedi Pele, the legendary former Marseille midfielder and three-time African Player of the Year.

The 1993 Champions League winner's sons, Andre Ayew and Jordan Ayew, could become the fourth pair of brothers to play together in the Premier League era when Swansea City host Burnley.

Andre first played for the Swans between 2015 and 2016 and, after 18 months at West Ham, the Ghanaian forward returned to the Liberty Stadium this January transfer deadline day for a club-record £18m, possibly rising to £20m.

Already at the club is brother Jordan, also a forward, and one whose recent form has helped Swansea climb out of the relegation zone.

Swansea's draw at Leicester made it 11 points from six games under Carlos Carvalhal and moved them out of the relegation zone as well.

But Carvalhal has warned that although the Swans 'have their heads above water now...the sharks are still around them'.

Only the big fish are above Burnley in the table despite the Clarets being on the longest current winless run in the division.

There are six changes for Swansea from the changed side that beat Notts County 8-1 in the FA Cup in midweek.

Lukasz Fabianski returns in goal, while fellow regulars Martin Olsson, Federico Fernandez, Alfie Mawson, Ki Sung-yueng and Jordan Ayew are also all back in.

The club record re-signing from West Ham Andre Ayew (£18m, possibly rising to £20m) is on the bench.

Dropping out of the starting line-up are Kristoffer Nordfeldt, Kyle Bartley, Connor Roberts, Luciano Narsingh, Wayne Routledge and Tammy Abraham.
