    Barcelona 3-1 Leganes

Barcelona have equalled Real Sociedad's record of 38 La Liga games unbeaten (over two seasons).

They are seven games away from becoming the only team to go a whole 38-game La Liga season unbeaten.

    Barcelona 3-1 Leganes

    It's all over.

  4. Postpublished at 90+3 mins

    Barcelona 3-1 Leganes

Almost a fourth as Andres Iniesta plays in Gerard Pique, but his shot is too weak.

  5. INJURY TIMEpublished at 90 mins

    Barcelona 3-1 Leganes

Just pictured a time when Lionel Messi isn't playing any more.

    *shudders*

    Three minutes added on.

  6. Postpublished at 90 mins

    Barcelona 3-1 Leganes

Nabil el Zhar's cross causes problems for Barcelona. Then Gabriel pirouettes past a defender but Barca just punt the ball clear.

  7. goal

GOAL - Barcelona 3-1 Leganespublished at 87 mins

    Lionel Messi

    HAT-TRICK O'CLOCK.

I thought this was never going to come. Ivan Rakitic finds Ousmane Dembele. He plays a ball to Lionel Messi, who chests it down then clips the ball over the advancing Ivan Cuellar with his left foot.

    Game over now.

  8. YELLOW CARDpublished at 85 mins

    Barcelona 2-1 Leganes

Barcelona's Jordi Alba is booked for an elbow in the back of Joseba Zaldua, who was the player who put in the bad tackle on him a few minutes ago.

  9. Postpublished at 84 mins

    Barcelona 2-1 Leganes

Barcelona looked so comfortable at 2-0 up, I thought the only question was whether Lionel Messi would hit a hat-trick.

But if they're not careful, they might end up dropping points here. Miguel Angel Guerrero lays the ball off to Claudio Beauvue, whose shot is over.

  10. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 82 mins

    Barcelona 2-1 Leganes

The fans like this change - Barcelona captain and legend Andres Iniesta replaces Philippe Coutinho, his supposed long-term replacement.

  11. Postpublished at 81 mins

    Barcelona 2-1 Leganes

The first Barcelona change in an absolute age. Ousmane Dembele's cross catches a slight deflection and Luis Suarez slides it over from close range.

  12. YELLOW CARDpublished at 80 mins

    Barcelona 2-1 Leganes

Barcelona's Philippe Coutinho is in the book too for a foul a minute ago.

  13. YELLOW CARDpublished at 80 mins

    Barcelona 2-1 Leganes

Yellow cards are racking up now as Joseba Zaldua lunges in studs up on Jordi Alba. Definite yellow.

  14. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 79 mins

    Barcelona 2-1 Leganes

Ruben Perez's reward for that yellow card is being replaced by striker Miguel Angel Guerrero - Leganes are going for this. They have never avoided defeat against Barcelona.

Perez throws something down on the bench in frustration.

  15. YELLOW CARDpublished at 77 mins

    Barcelona 2-1 Leganes

Ha ha ha. Leganes' Ruben Perez pulls back Lionel Messi, who gets past him. Perez ends up putting both his arms around Messi and trying to hold him in place. Yellow card.

  16. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 75 mins

    Barcelona 2-1 Leganes

Jordi Alba comes on for Sergi Roberto. I wouldn't say the Roberto at left-back experiment has been a huge success.

  17. Postpublished at 73 mins

    Barcelona 2-1 Leganes

Well now. Lionel Messi is played through down the right and he tries to chip Ivan Cuellar, who is in the exact corner of his box. The keeper leaps and saves the shot. Messi and the crowd want a free-kick (and presumably red card). Seeing a replay, he was *just* inside his box - good work.

Seconds later Messi has a shot in the box which is saved again.

  18. Postpublished at 21:11 British Summer Time 7 April 2018

    Barcelona 2-1 Leganes

If I can be honest with you, I actually missed that goal because I was watching a clip of a keeper scoring from his own half in the Bosnian league.

Having seen it in full now, there was a bit of poor play from Gerard Pique in the build-up and Nabil el Zhar's shot actually got a slight deflection off Sergi Roberto.

  19. goal

GOAL - Barcelona 2-1 Leganespublished at 68 mins

    Nabil el Zhar

Leganes are back in it! Former Liverpool forward Nabil el Zhar gets the ball just outside the box and rifles past Marc-Andre ter Stegen - only the third goal they've ever scored against Barcelona.

  20. Postpublished at 67 mins

    Barcelona 2-0 Leganes

Leganes have had some joy from getting crosses into the box and Nabil el Zhar heads wide at the back post.
