  1. First time finalpublished at 13:12 British Summer Time 5 May 2018

    Cliftonville v Coleraine

This is the first time Cliftonville and Coleraine have met in an Irish Cup final.

It's an occasion that has not been kind to either side in recent years as both sides have lost their last three finals.

Coleraine will be hoping to right the wrongs of last year when they were defeated by Linfield. Although Oran Kearney remarked this week that the 2017 cup final defeat was something of a catalyst for his team who have really been in fine form ever since.

The Reds last won the cup in 1979 and it's been five years since they were defeated 3-1 by Glentoran. 39 years is an awful long time to wait for an Irish Cup, are Barry Gray's men ready to end that run?

  2. Cliftonville seeking ninth cup successpublished at 13:09 British Summer Time 5 May 2018

This is Cliftonville's 20th appearance in the Irish Cup final.

They have won eight, lost 10 and the 1998/99 final was awarded to Portadown, after Cliftonville were found to have fielded an ineligible player during the tournament.

  3. It's final daypublished at 12:55 British Summer Time 5 May 2018

Cup final day always feels a bit special, doesn't it?

Last week one of the most remarkable league seasons you could hope to see drew to a close. Let's hope the Irish Cup final follows suit and delivers an action packed thrill-a-minute ride.

In the blue corner we have Coleraine. You'd have needed a heart of stone (or possibly to have been from Ballymena) to not have sympathised with the Bannsiders who missed out on lifting the league title despite losing just one game all season. Can Oran Kearney's men secure some silverware today?

In the red corner it's Cliftonville. The men from north Belfast have lacked consistency this season but shown that, on their day, they are more than capable of going toe-to-toe with any team, and they possess one of the most potent attacking forces in local football.

Coverage-wise, we've got everything under control. You can watch the events unfold on BBC Two NI from 2pm, or if you're out and about the game is live on the BBC Sport app and of course there is commentary on Radio Ulster.

Stay with us here for our live text coverage, video and audio streams and in-game highlights.

Kick off is at 2.30, you really don't want to miss this.
