Skipper Steve Cook pointedly waved to salute his keeper Asmir Begovic after that goal - as that move began when the Bosnian stopper claimed a cross and immediately rolled it short to Dan Gosling.

While Maguire and Morgan will head high balls away all afternoon, the pace of Callum Wilson and Joshua King up front, allied with Ryan Fraser and David Brooks on the flanks, has been causing Leicester some serious problems.

Ryan Fraser zips into the Leicester area from the left, and under challenge from Ricardo Pereira goes to deck - but Mr Pawson is unimpressed and it's a goal kick.

An energetic opening, with new England call-ups Ben Chilwell and Demarai Gray combining well down the Leicester left, and Jamie Vardy seeing a lot of the ball in dangerous areas on his return from suspension.

Bournemouth have had trouble clearing their lines at times in these early stages, while up front for the Cherries, Callum Wilson and Joshua King can expect a testing afternoon against Leicester's man-mountains Harry Maguire and Wes Morgan in central defence - though Maguire is already in referee Craig Pawson's notebook.

Everyone seems to be on the same page at Leicester, the manager seems happy. They’ve got Jamie Vardy back today with is a bonus. They are going below the radar, not doing big interviews or making a fuss, just picking up points quietly.

And to make things worse, Maguire then picks up the game's first booking for a clumsy challenge on Callum Wilson.

Harry Maguire's forward forays in the World Cup were a welcome sight, but this one doesn't end well - after Ghezzal's run and pass, the newly-contracted Maguire fails to control the ball on the edge of the Bournemouth box and the chance goes by.

Rachid Ghezzal slices the defence open through the middle to give Jamie Vardy a chance. He's one on one with Asmir Begovic, but the Cherries keeper races out, drops to the floor and blocks Vardy's stabbed effort.

The striker goes down and claims a penalty - but again, Craig Pawson is unmoved.

David Brooks, playing on the right, overhits a pass from deep that goes too far in front of Callum Wilson and into the arms of Kasper Schmeichel.

Nampalys Mendy barges Jefferson Lerma over for the first free kick of the day inside Leicester's half. The hosts make nothing of it, and a claim for handball from Callum Wilson a few seconds later is waved away.

The teams are out on a sunny afternoon on the south coast, and today's referee Craig Pawson is getting things teed up.

It has been an excellent international break for Leicester, with Ben Chilwell making his England debut and Demarai Gray on the bench for the friendly against Switzerland at the King Power Stadium, and Harry Maguire signing a new deal.

Add in the fact that Jamie Vardy returns from suspension and the Foxes will be confident of a first Premier League win over Bournemouth.

The Cherries have made their best start to a season since reaching the top division, and a much better beginning than last year when they lost their opening four matches.

The meetings between these two sides since Bournemouth came up in 2015 suggests another tight low-scoring encounter may well be on the cards.
