Harry Maguire stops Joshua King dead in his tracks with a body check, right in front of the technical zones. Bournemouth players, staff and fans are incensed and want a red card - Maguire already having been booked - but referee Pawson gives the Leicester defender a talking-to, and nothing else.

Skipper Steve Cook pointedly waved to salute his keeper Asmir Begovic after that goal - as that move began when the Bosnian stopper claimed a cross and immediately rolled it short to Dan Gosling.

While Maguire and Morgan will head high balls away all afternoon, the pace of Callum Wilson and Joshua King up front, allied with Ryan Fraser and David Brooks on the flanks, has been causing Leicester some serious problems.

    Ryan Fraser

    Lovely goal!

The ball ricochets off Ben Chilwell in midfield and falls nicely to Joshua King. He quickly feeds Ryan Fraser, who closes in on the area before opening himself out and curling a low shot around Schmeichel's left hand and into the bottom corner of the net.

An energetic opening, with new England call-ups Ben Chilwell and Demarai Gray combining well down the Leicester left, and Jamie Vardy seeing a lot of the ball in dangerous areas on his return from suspension.

Bournemouth have had trouble clearing their lines at times in these early stages, while up front for the Cherries, Callum Wilson and Joshua King can expect a testing afternoon against Leicester's man-mountains Harry Maguire and Wes Morgan in central defence - though Maguire is already in referee Craig Pawson's notebook.

Everyone seems to be on the same page at Leicester, the manager seems happy. They’ve got Jamie Vardy back today with is a bonus. They are going below the radar, not doing big interviews or making a fuss, just picking up points quietly.

    Bournemouth 0-0 Leicester

Harry Maguire's forward forays in the World Cup were a welcome sight, but this one doesn't end well - after Ghezzal's run and pass, the newly-contracted Maguire fails to control the ball on the edge of the Bournemouth box and the chance goes by.

  13. CLOSE!published at 8 mins

  20. Vardy back from suspensionpublished at 14:55 British Summer Time 15 September 2018

    Bournemouth v Leicester (15:00 BST)

    John Roder
Match of the Day commentator at the Vitality Stadium

It has been an excellent international break for Leicester, with Ben Chilwell making his England debut and Demarai Gray on the bench for the friendly against Switzerland at the King Power Stadium, and Harry Maguire signing a new deal.

Add in the fact that Jamie Vardy returns from suspension and the Foxes will be confident of a first Premier League win over Bournemouth.

The Cherries have made their best start to a season since reaching the top division, and a much better beginning than last year when they lost their opening four matches.

The meetings between these two sides since Bournemouth came up in 2015 suggests another tight low-scoring encounter may well be on the cards.
