Lucas Torreira goes into the book for putting the block on skipper Troy Deeney - the Uruguayan's foot did not land on the Watford skipper's boot, thankfully for him.

Meanwhile, it's an 'ouch' moment for Petr Cech.

    Arsenal 0-0 Watford

Two great chances for the Gunners!

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang fails to latch on to a cross from Hector Bellerin from six yards out. The travelling ball then arrives at the feet of Granit Xhaka on the left corner of the box - the Swiss midfielder launches a Hadron Collider of a shot that Ben Foster does well to punch away.

    Arsenal 0-0 Watford

Jose Holebas curls a teasing ball into the six-yard area from the left. Petr Cech comes out and bravely slaps the ball away from danger, getting clattered by Abdoulaye Doucoure in the process.

Ref Anthony Taylor checks up on the ex-Chelsea man - he's fine.

    Arsenal 0-0 Watford

Nacho Monreal has plenty of time to deliver a cross from the left but fires the ball straight into the gloves of Ben Foster.

Arsenal have gone off the boil a little and Watford's defence appears to have settled down.

The Hornets now have a free-kick the other end.

  7. YELLOW CARDpublished at 31 mins

    Arsenal 0-0 Watford

Watford's Andre Gray tries to release skipper Troy Deeney - the ball is overplayed and Deeney makes contact with Nacho Monreal's ankle.

    Ouch!

Painful for the Spaniard and a yellow for the Hornets forward.

Alexandre Lacazette is in the thick of things again.

The France striker begins the move by pulling the ball back from the byeline inside the area - he then gets a toepoke shot from a yard out which is plucked from the air by Ben Foster.

    It's action jackson here.

The game's opened up already - Arsenal win a corner but it's well dealt with by the away defence.

Watford now have a corner, but it fails to find a man in yellow and black.

  12. Lac of a good finish!published at 18 mins

    Arsenal 0-0 Watford

Alexandre Lacazette, all your good work wasted by yourself.

The Frenchman robs Craig Cathcart about 25 yards from goal, runs towards the Watford box before clipping the ball over the onrushing Ben Foster, but wide of the Hornets goal.

    A poor finish.

    Arsenal 0-0 Watford

Will Hughes almost made the news!

The former Derby man fires a volley from Troy Deeney's nod-down a foot wide of Petr Cech's left-hand upright.

It was a superb left-wing cross by Jose Holebas in the first place.

    Credit to Watford here.

They've not let Arsenal settle by piling men forward - the danger of that tactic is that Arsenal are pretty good on the break.

  15. PENALTY APPEALpublished at 7 mins

    Arsenal 0-0 Watford

    My word!

Arsenal forward Alexandre Lacazette produces a burst of speed inside the area which forces Watford's Christian Kabasele to stretch out a leg which appeared to catch the Frenchman.

Lacazette stumbles, but instead of going down he stays on his feet and produces something that could be described as 'a shot on the angle'.

The shot goes wide, Arsenal then appeal but ref Anthony Taylor is not interested.

Looking back at the replay, Kabasele did catch Lacazette.

The corner has a little too much on it from the right - keeper Petr Cech adds a little claw to push the ball away for a throw-in on the other side.

It's been a bright start on a bright day for Watford.

  17. Postpublished at 2 mins

    Arsenal 0-0 Watford

Rob Holding appears to be... holding Andre Gray on the edge of the area as Troy Deeney tries to play the ball to him - but ref Anthony Taylor waves play on.

It's now a corner ball to the Hornets.
