    Crystal Palace 0-0 Wolves

A first Premier League meeting between the two sides. I find that quite surprising.

Luka Milivojevic has the first effort of the game - which is most probably a cross - and it goes comfortably wide of Wayne Hennessey's goal.

  3. The stats don't bother Roy...published at 14:59 British Summer Time 6 October 2018

Crystal Palace manager Roy Hodgson: "There won't be many statistics that will bother us after last season: seven games, no goals, no points and a minus 18 goal difference. It was the worst start in Premier League history and we were strong enough to get over that.

"The longer you don't win at home, the more the pressure will build up, but we have to go and give the performance we want to give."

Ex-Liverpool defender and BBC football expert

Wolves fans feared the worst when I finally tipped them to win last week, but I was right. They left it late against Southampton, with two goals in the last 11 minutes, but they deserved their victory.

Palace, meanwhile, got beaten by Bournemouth on Monday night after conceding a stupid late penalty. I am expecting a response from the Eagles but, because of their form and the way they are playing, Wolves are probably expected to win this.

I am not so sure. I know Wolves have already been to Old Trafford and picked up a point but Selhurst Park is a very different environment, and I think they might find it tough there.

    Lawro's prediction: 2-0

  5. 'Their football has flowed joyously'published at 14:56 British Summer Time 6 October 2018

John Lennon's Imagine was number one the last time these two met in the top flight - no-one could have imagined such an impressive start to the season for Wolves.

Their football has flowed joyously. Form suggests the run will continue.

Palace lacked a cutting edge after fighting back at Bournemouth before throwing away a point. They need to change their style. Without a home goal so far, they have to stop the slump. Wolves play open football. If Palace catch them on the break they can get a much-needed win.

But "you may say I'm a dreamer..."

  6. Wolves set Premier League recordpublished at 14:53 British Summer Time 6 October 2018

Crystal Palace v Wolves (15:00 BST)

Crystal Palace boss Roy Hodgson makes just one change to the side left empty-handed by Bournemouth on Monday night, as Jeffrey Schlupp comes in for 23-year-old Max Meyer in midfield.

Crystal Palace XI: Hennessey, Wan-Bissaka, Tomkins, Sakho, van Aanholt, Schlupp, Milivojevic, McArthur, Townsend, Ayew, Zaha

Wolves boss Nuno Espirito Santo sets a Premier League record by naming an unchanged XI for an eighth game in a row at the start of the season.

The only change to report for the visitors is that England youth international Morgan Gibbs-White replaces Ruben Vinagre on the bench.

Wolves XI: Rui Patricio, Bennett, Coady, Boly, Doherty, Moutinho, Neves, Castro Otto, Costa, Jota, Jimenez

  7. A first Premier League meetingpublished at 14:50 British Summer Time 6 October 2018

Crystal Palace v Wolves (15:00 BST)

Wolves, now unbeaten in five, continue to impress on their Premier League return - while Crystal Palace have taken just one point from their opening three home games.

So it can only go one way, right?

The visitors are currently enjoying their best league run in 37 years following victory over Southampton last weekend, and their sparkling form has seen boss Nuno Espirito Santo nominated for September's manager of the month award.

They face the Eagles today, after Roy Hodgson's men saw a precious point slip away at Bournemouth on Monday night - courtesy of Mamadou Sakho's costly error.

But who will come out on top in this, the first ever Premier League meeting between the two sides?
