We are back under way.

We have an update on Glenn Murray in a sec.

Kayal's goal separates the two sides, but Newcastle seem to have enough in attack to at least earn a point from this.

However, much of the half-time talk inside St James' might be focused on that horrible injury to Brighton striker Glenn Murray.

We have yet to hear about his current condition.

The ball ends up at the feet of Kenedy, who darts towards the edge of the area from the right but sees his shot blocked by a flock of Seagulls.

We have a shipping crate load of stoppage time as a result of Glenn Murray's earlier injury.

Newcastle will be hoping to make the most of this pressure and nick one before the whistle.

Jonjo Shelvey weaves his way into the area and thumps a shot that is saved low by Mat Ryan. The ball ricochets into the path of Yoshinori Muto, who has to crane his head back to get any connection on the ball, which ends up on the top netting.

In the build-up, Shelvey was hauled back by our goalscorer Beram Kayal, who was eventually booked by ref Andre Marriner, who had made a mental note, as had the home supporters.

Matt Ritchie heads narrowly wide for the Magpies from Paul Dummett's whipped cross from the left.

The Scot, perhaps, should have hit the target. He certainly think so.

The corner comes to zilch.

The replays suggest that the ball came off Solly March last, so it should not have resulted in a corner.

And Beram Kayal has been given the goal.

Well done him.

Shane Duffy inadvertently slices the delivery from the left and watches the ball hurtle towards goal - fortunately his team-mates clear.

Moments later, at the other end, Jose Izquierdo cuts inside and fires a shot that is blocked by Jamaal Lascelles.

Wait...we have a goal...

Jurgen Locadia, who replaced the injured Glenn Murray earlier, charges towards goal and fires a fairly tame shot that flies wide of Martin Dubravka's right-hand upright.

At least he tried.

Newcastle now have a corner.

The free-kick was played short, much to the frustration of the Toon support.

It's now Brighton back on the attack.

But the ball is played deep and cleared by the home side - it's all gone a bit quiet inside St James'.

The home side win a free-kick though - the noise may pick up.

They're coping well so far as Beram Kayal wins his side a corner...

That delay lasted six minutes, so we'll have a fair bit of stoppage time at the end of the half.

It'll be interesting to see how the Brighton players regroup after that incident.

The away support sing, "there's only one Glenn Murray" as he is taken off on a stretcher.

Supporters from all around St James' Park applaud the striker, who is led down the tunnel.

We wish him a very quick recovery.

Murray looks to be moving, but he will probably be replaced by Jurgen Locadia, who is receiving instructions on the sidelines.

There is concern on the pitch over Glenn Murray, who is on the deck after a collision with Federico Fernandez.

The striker looked as if he swallowed his tongue and needed urgent attention.

What a brilliant save by Australian Mat Ryan!

The keeper spreads himself to prevent an Ayoze Perez shot at the near post from bursting the net.

The chance came after Gaetan Bong had been robbed of the ball by Jonjo Shelvey on the edge of the area.

It went wrong for Bong, but Ryan spared his blushes.

The keeper receives treatment after appearing to be winded in a follow-up attack.

He seems OK though.
