Newcastle cannot get out of their half at the minute. It's been really positive from Huddersfield but, as has been the problem so far this season, they need to make these opportunities count.

Shouts for a handball?

The ball falls for Terence Kongolo at the back post, and the Huddersfield defender lifts the ball towards goal but instead hits Fabian Schar.

Replays show it clearly hit the defender's head though.

Laurent Depoitre is working hard for Huddersfield up front and earns a free kick after a very strong tackle from Jamaal Lascelles.

Chris Lowe and Florent Hadergjonaj link up well for Huddersfield down the right hand-side following a good knock-down by Laurent Depoitre.

Newcastle initailly get it away but Philip Billing is soon charging at the Magpies defence once more. He gets a shot away but it's well blocked.

It's relentless stuff at the minute from the hosts.

Alex Pritchard has been full of positive running for the home side so far and is constantly busy across the park.

His influence in the game continues to grow and it looks like he holds the key for Huddersfield today.

Fabian Schar finds himself in space from Kenedy's deep free-kick, but the defender can't beat Jonas Lossl from an ever-decreasing angle and the hosts manage to clear their lines.

A warning for Huddersfield, who switched off at the back there.

No goals, but considering the talk of limited goals before this match it has been a promising opening 20 minutes in terms of attacking intent at the Kirklees Stadium.

One goal was enough to win this fixture in both meetings last season however, and that might well be the case again today.

A really good save there by Martin Dubravka, who is at full stretch to tip over a long-range Philip Biling free-kick.

It looked too far out to cause any problems but it's a great strike. It's safely cleared by Newcastle from the resulting corner but the Terriers come again.

A nasty one for Jonas Lossl as Christian Atsu lands on the goalkeeper's knee.

It was certainly an honest, 50-50 challenge but Lossl needs a bit of treatment for the time being.

A chance at the other end goes begging again for Huddersfield!

It was admittedly a difficult one for Chris Lowe who manages to hit a volley, albeit not very convincingly and his effort drifts wide of Dubravka's goal.

But Jonas Lossl - impressive against Arsenal last weekend - comes out to punch the ball and does enough to clear the danger.

A lively start - both sides are well aware of the importance of this one.
