That feels like the first time the Saints stopper has been really called upon. But yet again, Huddersfield fail to make a rare chance count.
Huddersfield 0-2 Southampton
That's much better from the hosts, as Philip Billing traverses the pitch and tries to feed Erik Durm as the sub races in off the left into the area.
But seconds later Mathias Jorgensen should have pulled one back, diving into the six yard box to headd on target - but Alex McCarthy parries it away with his right hand for a fine save!

Yan Valery is booked for time-wasting - a bit early for running the clock down, isn't it?
The home fans have lifted the decibel level - it's not quite up to 11 in Spinal Tap style, but it's not bad.

They work it well and eventually Nathan Redmond takes aim from the edge of the box - but he skews his shot horribly wide, threatening the corner flag rather than the nets.

Alex Pritchard knocks a short pass across the area to Steve Mounie, who swivels and fires just over the bar with a firm, left-footed effort.

Leon Osman
Former Everton midfielder on Final Score
Southampton have been very good, their midfield runners are causing Huddersfield all sorts of problems and they always looked likelier to get the second goal.
Danny Ings (pen)
Danny Ings was tripped by Mathias Jorgensen, and stepped up to take it himself. He stuttered in the run-up, gave Jonas Lossl 'the eye', and rolled the ball into Lossl's bottom right corner while the keeper went left.
It leaves a mountain to climb for the beleaguered hosts.
Saints get a penalty!
Huddersfield 0-1 Southampton
Philip Billing really is a big unit and a tackle Pierre-Emile Højbjerg could be felt miles away - but to be fair, the Saints player gets up and gives the Huddersfield behemoth an admiring pat.
Huddersfield 0-1 Southampton
Another corner for the hosts, and Steve Mounie really flexes the neck muscles to head the ball goalwards - but again, Valery is in the way.
It's better from Huddersfield, but there's little goal threat - story of their season?
Huddersfield 0-1 Southampton
Two corners in quick succession for Huddersfield - at the first, Philip Billing heads on target but Yan Valery makes a vital touch. At the second, Bacuna gets the ball back by the flag but can't control the ball - another chance goes begging.
Huddersfield 0-1 Southampton
Nathan Redmond is having a great game, and he goes close when he harries Philip Billing into a mistake in midfield. He then homes in on goal and tries to lift it into the top of the net but sees the ball sail over the bar.
Huddersfield 0-1 Southampton
Juninho Bacuna goes through the back of Stuart Armstrong right ion front of the away bench, who leap up to claim a yellow card. Stuart Atwell gives the Huddersfield player a talking-to, but nothing else.
Huddersfield 0-1 Southampton
Nathan Redmond breaks at pace and hooks a cross towards Danny Ings that Jonas Lossl comes out to claim, but for the first time the home fans sound really unhappy at how their side are looking so vulnerable.
