Yash, Manchester: Surely City can't lose again? They seem to play the best football going forward but the worst defending.

    Agueroooo! No!

Not often will you see Sergio Aguero spoon one over the bar when unmarked from six yards out. But that is what happens when Leroy Sane pulls it back and Aguero can only lift it over the top.

Moments later Sane is free but England's Harry Maguire gets in the way to clear the cross.

I’m sure Leicester fans and players feared the worst when they went behind so early on but a bolt out of the blue and poor work by the entire Man City back line allowed them to get back into the game. From that moment I think Leicester have edged it.

Vardy set up Albrighton for Leicester's goal and they nearly combined again for another. Albrighton, deep on the right, swings in a lovely looking cross aimed for the Foxes frontman, but the ball is just over Vardy's head. He liked the intent though and gives a thumbs-up gesture to his team-mate. I fully expect to see more goals in this one.

David Thackeray: Albrighton one of the most underrated players in PL. My favourite - excluding Arsenal players of course.

Scott: Leicester vs Man City has been brilliant, game of the day so far.

That was wonderful play by Jamie Vardy but Man City’s backline was absolutely atrocious all along that move.

Vardy realised he couldn’t beat John Stones for pace, checked back and sent in a cross. There was no City player at the back post, only Marc Albrighton, who isn’t exactly a giant in the air, but he was totally unmarked and sent the header past Ederson for an unlikely goal.

De Bruyne has a strike at goal, and hits it sweetly from more than 30 yards, but Kasper Schmeichel is behind it and able to keep it out. Good game this one.

There's only one man in the penalty area for Leicester and you've got to mark him.

Fabian Delph gets caught square, stops and watches the ball. It's a good header by Albrighton though.

    Marc Albrighton (Leicester City)

    That did not last long.

Leicester level within four minutes. Jamie Vardy is free on the left and does excellently to send in a cross to the back post, where Marc Albrighton has pulled away from marker Fabian Delph and is able to head the ball past Ederson.

  12. 'A beautifully constructed goal'published at 15:19 Greenwich Mean Time 26 December 2018

    Leicester 0-1 Man City

    Fred Eyre
Former Man City player on BBC Radio Manchester

“Man City played one-twos through the centre of the pitch until the ball fell to Aguero. I thought his first touch was a bit heavy but he reacted very quickly to get the ball under control and lay it into the path of Bernardo.

“I thought Schmeichel may have come out of his goal a bit quicker but Bernardo just slipped it past him.

“A beautifully constructed goal amongst a period of scrappy period of play.”

Leroy Sane gets a shooting chance on the edge of the area, looking for the away side's second but he scuffs the shot and it is easy for Kasper Schmeichel.

Ben Chilwell steps up too late for Leicester. Aguero finds Bernardo Silva and he hits it into the ground, which takes it over Schmeichel's leg.

It's a brilliantly-worked goal but they got a bit lucky at the end of it.

    Bernardo Silva

So easy for the champions. Sergio Aguero is the architect as he slides a pass through, but the Leicester defence are all over the place with captain Wes Morgan looking out of position.

Bernardo Silva collects Aguero's pass, is one-on-one with Kasper Schmeichel and calmly slots past the keeper. The visitors lead.

  16. City missing Walker?published at 15:14 Greenwich Mean Time 26 December 2018

    Leicester City 0-0 Manchester City

    Fred Eyre
Former Man City player on BBC Radio Manchester

No complaints about the selection of Danilo today but Man City do miss Kyle Walker’s overlapping.

Kevin de Bryune was going to turn and lay it out to an overlapping right-back. In the past it would be Walker, but De Bruyne had to delay and wait for Danilo to stroll forward.

Danilo is a good player but there’s a big difference between a sprint and a stroll.

Walker is among Pep Guardiola's options on the bench, along with David Silva, Riyad Mahrez and Phil Foden.
