  1. goal

GOAL - Watford 1-1 Chelseapublished at 45+4 mins

    Roberto Pereyra

    What a hit!

This is Paul Scholes-esque from Roberto Pereyra.

The Argentine is loitering on the edge of the box, sees Jose Holebas's cross drop onto his right peg and lashes a first-time volley into the bottom corner.

Delightful and this match has finally come alive.

The slip ball through was absolutely perfect and Eden Hazard knew he should go around the goalkeeper to either win a penalty or score. In the end, the keeper gets nowhere near him and it's a finish of a player at his standard.

  3. CLOSE!published at 45+3 mins

    Watford 0-1 Chelsea

Watford looking for an immediate response.

Antonio Rudiger's poor headed clearance falls nicely for Abdoulaye Doucoure, but the shot is blocked by Kepa Arrizabalaga for a corner.

  4. goal

GOAL - Watford 0-1 Chelseapublished at 45+1 mins

    Eden Hazard

    That's the century.

Watford give the ball away in midfield and are punished.

Mateo Kovacic spots the run of Eden Hazard in behind the Watford defence, he calmly goes round Ben Foster and slots the ball into an open net.

Belgium captain Hazard is the 10th Chelsea player to score 100 goals for the club. Well done.

Just caught a glimpse of Christian Kabasele with an oxygen mask on him and being wheeled away on a stretcher towards the ambulance.

    That does not look good.

  6. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 43 mins

    Watford 0-0 Chelsea

With his shorts lifted up, looking like he's wearing a blue nappy, Pedro has to limp off with what looks like a hamstring injury.

On comes teenager Callum Hudson-Odoi, who is quite highly rated at Stamford Bridge as well as having Bundesliga sides sniffing around him.

    Watford 0-0 Chelsea

Chelsea's runs forward from midfield are frightening.

Eden Hazard, Willian, N'Golo Kante and Pedro all running at the Watford defence.

It is Spaniard Pedro who finds the ball inside the box and turns inside for a shot, but Etienne Capoue does well to intercept.

Pedro holding the back of his leg after that.

40 minutes gone, zero shots on target.

    Boooooo.

  9. CLOSE!published at 37 mins

    Watford 0-0 Chelsea

D and D linking up top for Watford.

Gerard Deulofeu finds space with another sprint forward and sees Troy Deeney in space in the box, but the Hornets skipper's low shot from 10 yards out is brilliantly blocked by David Luiz.

Amrul: People say United are million miles off the top. Well Chelsea and Arsenal not too far ahead of United.

Ben: Could have, and should have been a goal for Hazard just then.

    Watford 0-0 Chelsea

Watford winger Gerard Deulofeu cannot believe a free-kick is not awarded when he skins David Luiz and goes down.

There is barely a touch and as the Spaniard jogs away, he gets a pat on his bottom from Luiz in an "off you go, lad" manner.

    Watford 0-0 Chelsea

That was the game in microcosm. Chelsea have good possession outside the Watford box, but the hosts nick it and get down the other end on the counter attack.

  13. CLOSE!published at 33 mins

    Watford 0-0 Chelsea

Again, Chelsea unable to convert a cross into the six yard box.

This time Cesar Azpilicueta plays a inviting ball deep in the Watford area, but where was Eden Hazard to gobble it up?

The Belgian is there for an easy finish, but completely misses his kick.

    Watford 0-0 Chelsea

Nice from Watford, breaking at Chelsea with pace.

Skipper Troy Deeney the better of Antonio Rudiger and sets the flying Roberto Pereyra free.

The Argentine rolls it across for Abdoulaye Doucoure, who slices a shot wide.

  15. CLOSE!published at 29 mins

    Watford 0-0 Chelsea

Not happening for Chelsea in the final third at the moment.

Eden Hazard is frustrated and is dropping deep for the ball and then spreads the play out wide to Pedro.

The Spaniard flashes a cross across the box but with no traditional number nine playing for the Blues, the ball rolls out of play for a throw in.

Nez35: Antonio Conte is to blame for the departure of Diego Costa! Since then Chelsea have needed him

Luca: I do like Sarri, I like his style of play/tactics and this isn't his squad really. However please can he stop playing our two best players both out of position? Happy holidays

    Lovely play from Abdoulaye Doucoure.

The Frenchman bursts forward from midfield, turns inside of Antonio Rudiger in the box and shoots but Jorginho gets back to make a block in the nick of time.

    Watford 0-0 Chelsea

I'm with the referee there. Eden Hazard did well to get away from the defender but I think he just lost his legs a little bit and it got away from him.

Substance over style from the two sides at the moment.

Plenty of graft but very little quality.

Eden Hazard has barely had a kick.

  20. Postpublished at 22 mins

    Watford 0-0 Chelsea

Rough stuff from Antonio Rudiger, catching Watford striker Troy Deeney on the head with an elbow when challenging for a high ball.

No booking though, says referee Martin Atkinson.
