Scotland did well to contain the Belgians for most of that half. Only a shared moment of madness between Craig Gordon and John McGinn really let them down. Still a lack of cohesion between midfield and attack though. Leigh Griffiths has looked mostly lost sandwiched between Dedryck Boyata and Vincent Kompany.
Scotland contained the visitors for the opening 20 minutes, but thereafter the second best team in the world have been toying with their hosts.
Alex McLeish's team, though, handed the goal to the visitors with Craig Gordon's dangerous throw to John McGinn and the midfielder loss of control that led to Romelu Lukaku's goal.
Roberto Martinez's took control from that point as their hosts appeared to lose confidence.

Quote MessageExcellent save from Craig. Great from Belgium again. He maybe deserves that little bit of luck
Scotland 0-1 Belgium
Scotland are riding their luck and, when a Dries Mertens cross is headed on by Eden Hazard, Craig Gordon saves and then combines with Charlie Mulgrew to bundle it against the post and clear under pressure from Romelu Lukaku.
Scotland 0-1 Belgium
So close again for Belgium as a ball whipped into the six-yard box is inches from the toe of the unmarked Romelu Lukaku and John Souttar clears.

bringthemonjpn: Scotland unlucky to go one down. Unlikely they will lose this match. Shape is overall good.

Quote MessageWe've got away with one there - that's a penalty
Scotland 0-1 Belgium
Eden Hazard's corner finds the head of Vincent Kompany and the defender's effort clips the top of the Scotland crossbar.
Alex McLeish's side living dangerously.
Scotland 0-1 Belgium
Scotland goalkeeper Craig Gordon is fortunate to escape conceding a penalty as he comes off his line and clashes into Timothy Castagne.
The referee allows play to go on and John Souttar clears for a corner.
Scotland 0-1 Belgium
Ryan Fraser and John McGinn fashion a glimpse of the Belgium goal, but the latter's drive is straight at goalkeeper Thibaut Courois.
Scotland 0-1 Belgium
That goal appears to have winded the Scots and Belgium are dominating possession and pinning the hosts back deep in their own half.

John McGinn dithering on the ball after a questionable throw out from Craig Gordon. Scotland the architects of their own misery for that. Sloppy and avoidable. Alex McLeish rightly furious on the touchline.
Romelu Lukaku
Disaster for Scotland - and John McGinn.
The Aston Villa midfielder dwells on the ball on the edge of the penalty box after it is rolled to him by goalkeeper Craig Gordon.
Mousa Dembele steals it off McGinn's toes and Dries Mertens rolls the ball across the six yard box for Romelu Lukaku to tap into an empty net.
Scotland 0-0 Belgium
Belgium work their way into the Scotland penalty box, but Kieran Tierney makes a goal-saving interception to take the ball off the toes of Romelu Lukaku.
Scotland 0-0 Belgium
Belgium's Dedryck Boyata slides into a challenge with former Celtic team-mate Stuart Armstrong and comes off worse for his efforts.
It is a worry for not only Belgium but the Scottish champions, but the centre-half soon recovers.
Scotland 0-0 Belgium
