So it's now 34 successive EFL games without a win for Macclesfield, who conceded a 97th-minute equaliser at Newport.

Mike: The point doesn't matter, Bruce has to be replaced now before the season is lost. The new owners have to act now otherwise I have lost all faith them too.

Simon: It's really worrying that we are leaking so many goals. Why did we not sign a defender in the summer and why did we let Elphick go? He is better than Jedinak.

Myles: Whelan??? Really??? We have more proven penalty takers and you choose him? What in the name? #BruceOut

    FT: Aston Villa 3-3 Preston

Let's just recap on the remarkable events at Villa Park. At the break, Villa comfortably led 2-0.

Then off went James Chester, with a straight red, for a foul in the area and Preston pulled one back from the spot through Daniel Johnson.

North End then bombarded the Villa goal and eventually equalised through Paul Gallagher, before taking the lead through Louis Moult's header with four minutes to go.

Cue thousands of Villa fans to flood out of Villa Park.

Then Yannick Bolasie bundled in an equaliser for 10-men Villa in stoppage time, before the hosts were awarded a 97th-minute penalty.

But Glenn Whelan's spot kick was SAVED. All over. 3-3.

    League One and Two latest

Spare a thought for Macclesfield, who thought they would end their winless start to the season at Newport when they led 3-2.

But Jamille Matt has equalised in the seventh minute of added time.

    The wait goes on.

We'll round up the best bits from all three divisions shortly.

    Brentford 1-1 Birmingham

It's all over at Griffin Park too. Birmingham City raced into an early lead through Michael Morrison before Josh McEachran equalised with his first goal for the Bees.

The big talking point here though will be Blues manager Garry Monk's sending off following Maikel Kieftenbeld's red card.

The whistle blows at Portman Road but in truth the game had been over for a long time.

    Aston Villa 3-3 Preston

Oh my. It's a penalty! In the 95th minute!

    Tom Ince (74 mins)

That should be game over and a welcome three points for Stoke, as Tom Ince finds space in the box and fires low into the corner.

That's a 20:00 BST kick-off so there are still 15 minutes left in the Potteries.

Late drama! Has Yannick Bolasie just saved Steve Bruce's job?

Villa level from the messiest of late, late corners, as the substitute scrambles in at the far post.

Not many Villa fans were left in the ground to see it!
