It was tremendous save, it took a deflection very, very late, almost right in front of her, and she made just a reaction save to get her hand up and bat it away.

  4. Postpublished at 55 mins

    Scotland 0-1 USA

Scotland striker Jane Ross finds space between the USA cental defenders to meet a deep cross from Fiona Brown but she can't get any power on her header and it's a simple save for Ashlyn Harris.

  5. GREAT SAVE!published at 53 mins

    Scotland 0-1 USA

Some slick passing opens up space for Julie Ertz to drill in a low shot from 20 yards. It takes a big deflection off a defender in blue but Scotland's replacement goalkeeper Shannon Lynn shows great reflexes to stick up her left hand and keep the ball out as she dives to her right.

  6. Postpublished at 51 mins

    Scotland 0-1 USA

More patient play from the USA, threading passes across the pitch near halfway looking for gaps in the well-organised home midfield.

  7. Postpublished at 47 mins

    Scotland 0-1 USA

Nifty footwork from Caroline Weir near the edge of the penalty area to get away from two defenders but a third arrives to block her shot.

  8. KICK-OFFpublished at 46 mins

    Scotland 0-1 USA

For long spells of the game we looked dangerous. We looked exciting to watch. We have to remind ourselves that we're up against the world champions here. There are lots of positives and lots of things Shelley will want to improve on in the second half. Certainly we should be proud of the performance so far

  10. Speedy wingers a handful for Scotspublished at 20:12 Greenwich Mean Time 13 November 2018

    HT: Scotland 0-1 USA

Mallory Pugh and Alex Morgan combined for the goal and those two have looked very dangerous either side of central striker Carli Lloyd.

They are both quick and the Scottish defence is standing off, giving them too much to work in.

  11. Good goal, great crosspublished at 20:08 Greenwich Mean Time 13 November 2018

It's a good goal, a great cross from the right hand side and Morgan ghosting in there in between the centre back and full back. That's the first time they've been opened up. They've been pretty strong, pretty compact. It's a real blow for Scotland who've defended well for most of this game.

  12. HALF-TIME Scotland 0-1 USApublished at 45+1 mins

The World Cup holders lead in Paisley thanks to a well taken volley from Alex Morgan.

Scotland have been working hard to contain the star-studded visitors but it was a lax moment that allowed Morgan to run free and meet a cross from Mallory Pugh.

  13. Postpublished at 45 mins

    Scotland 0-1 USA

USA continue to ping passes around, probing for another opening. The Scots are hanging on a bit and wishing the half-time whistle would come.

Another Scotland player is down after a clash of heads, this time it's Fiona Brown. Again, the accidental collision involves Julie Ertz, who shows no ill-effects. A tough nut...

The Scottish defence is posted missing as Mallory Pugh swings in a cross from the left and Alex Morgan is left all alone to smash a perfectly timed volley past Lee Alexander.

That's international goal number 98 for the USA star.

  16. YELLOW CARD Sonnett (USA)published at 35 mins

Claire Emslie sets off on a gallop as Scotland look to spring a counter-attack. Emily Sonnett can't catch her and resorts to dragging her opponent down with her arms to give away the foul.

  17. Postpublished at 34 mins

    Scotland 0-0 USA

Scotland captain Rachel Corsie is leading by example, repelling everything that the USA can throw into the penalty area so far.

  18. CLOSE!published at 30 mins

    Scotland 0-0 USA

A scuffed Scottish corner from Erin Cuthbert almost sneaks in as a defender has a wild swipe at the near post and needs a team-mate to spare her blushes with a goal-line clearance.

Scotland are well organised and they know what they're supposed to be doing but I do think they're giving the USA too much room and allowing the centre-backs to play the ball across the pitch to each other. I know it's not hurting them but then you're working all the time. I think you need one player to stay up the park and give the centre backs something to think about.

  20. Postpublished at 24 mins

    Scotland 0-0 USA

A careless pass from Jo Love is seized upon and the USA work the ball out to Alex Morgan quickly. Her effort from a tight angle is deflected out for a corner and Scotland breath a sigh of relief.
