Tributes were made to missing Cardiff City striker Emiliano Sala before and during their 2-0 win over Bournemouth.

Bobby Reid - who scored both goals - celebrated his opener with a T-shirt with Sala's face on it.

Wolves are impressive. They play very good football – they don’t have a lot of possession – but teams know that they can hit you on the break.

We’ve mentioned Ruben Neves, Joao Moutinho and Raul Jimenez but two players who haven’t had a lot of mentions are Jonny Otto and Matt Doherty.

Those two caused Everton all sorts of problems - they stretched Everton. Wolves dominated and it was a very, very poor performance by Everton.

Everton are hopeless at defending set-pieces.

But that game will perhaps be more remembered for a black cat holding up play for a few minutes.

Final Score reporter John Acres filled nearly two minutes of prime-time television with his superb commentary of the cat's movement across the Wolves penalty area, including the descriptive "it looks like a fully grown... cat. He drops a shoulder, jinks one way, goes another" and "the steward's after the cat, but the cat knows it and puts in a turn of pace..."

Wolves boss Nuno said: "Where I come from in Portugal, the black cat is bad luck so I never want to see cats again. I don't like black cats."

Everton boss Marco Silva said he understood the reaction of the crowd after his team were booed off Goodison Park following an impressive Wolves victory.

Andre Gomes cancelled out Ruben Neves' opener from the penalty spot before goals by Raul Jimenez and Leander Dendoncker cemented Wolves' seventh-placed spot in the Premier League.

Everton have won just three of their past 12 league games and their latest defeat was greeted with boos from the stands.

"I understand they expect to see a good afternoon and a good game," said Silva, who has been in charge since May.

Newcastle made it very difficult for Spurs – they were tight and compact and defended really well at times.

The impressive thing about this Tottenham team is they found a way to win without playing particularly well. They brought on Fernando Llorente and Danny Rose and that gave them a different dimension.

That’s the impressive thing about this Tottenham side - without playing well they haven’t given up. They’ve found a way to win games.

Son Heung-min is Tottenham's danger man, and especially in the first half, Newcastle knew he was playing out wide and they surrounded him with bodies.

It was more of the same in the second half so Mauricio Pochettino made a couple of changes and he went with three at the back which allowed them width and meant Son could play in the pocket of space behind substitute Fernando Llorente.

It allowed Spurs to play more direct. It was a lovely touch for the goal and Martin Dubravka made a big mistake. Spurs are still in the title race and it's in their hands to put themselves amongst it.

Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino likened Son Heung-min's energy levels to "a battery" after his late strike beat Newcastle and moved them second in the Premier League.

The South Korean forward - only back from the Asian Cup a week ago - benefitted from a Martin Dubravka error with seven minutes left as his powerful 20-yard shot went under the Newcastle goalkeeper's body.

"Sonny is like a battery that you have - you work, work, work until the battery is gone," said Pochettino. "He is like this. He gives you everything and when he is exhausted he says he needs to rest. On the pitch he is always 100% in every action."

Eden Hazard and Gonzalo Higuain are two world-class players and when they get on that wavelength with each other, great things can happen.

It was very telepathic at times between the two of them. Higuain likes to drop deep at times and Hazard likes to run with it.

Higuain came alive inside the area for the first goal but he linked up everything really well. If Maurizio Sarri can get a tune out of him that will be great.

Hazard was ruthless and his finish for the second goal makes it look simple.

If there was one game Chelsea would want to play after getting battered at Bournemouth – I said it was embarrassing and it was – then it would be Huddersfield at home.

We’ll learn a lot more from the next two league games – away to Manchester City and at home to Tottenham – and then we’ll find out where they are as a team and a club. Chelsea have to get into the top four.

Maurizio Sarri says Gonzalo Higuain and Eden Hazard are "suitable" to play with each other, as the pair both struck twice in Chelsea's dominant victory over Huddersfield, which moved the Blues back into the top four.

They were Higuain's first goals since signing on loan from Juventus in the January transfer window.

David Luiz added a fifth in the closing minutes.

The win ended a troubled week for Sarri, following Wednesday's 4-0 loss to Bournemouth - their heaviest league defeat in 23 years.

But first let's have a look at what happened yesterday.

Have Manchester City started to wobble? They have lost as many games in nine matches as they had done in the previous 72.

Last weekend a defeat by Newcastle gave Liverpool the opportunity to go seven points clear... but the Reds didn't take it, drawing against Leicester.
