And we're off!
Where will the big headlines come this afternoon? Stick with us to find out....
Birmingham City v Nottingham Forest (15:00 GMT)
Oh dear - not sure I want to be the person on the end of this stare from Roy Keane!
In case you missed it, the former Nottingham Forest and Manchester United midfielder is back at the City Ground as assistant manager to Martin O'Neill.
It's St Andrew's this afternoon for Keano and O'Neill as they try to mastermind an away win.
Not long to go now....
Exeter v MK Dons (15:00 GMT)
An iconic suave figure will stalk the touchline at St James' Park today, but it won't be like old times when Paul Tisdale returns to Exeter.
For the first time since ending his 12-year tenure as Exeter boss, Tisdale goes back to his old haunt as manager of MK Dons.
Matt Taylor, who is now in charge of the Grecians, called on supporters to be respectful toward their former boss.
To add spice to the reunion, both sides have it all to play for as MK Dons are three points and one place above Exeter in the League Two play-off spots.
Sunderland v Wimbledon (15:00 GMT)
So, this happened!
At £4m, it is a fair chunk of change for a player in England's third division.
But it is Will Grigg, and he has been known to catch fire in League One in the past.
Sunderland fans will be hoping it is a sound investment.
The Black Cats certainly wanted the Northern Ireland striker bad enough, with eight bids tabled before Wigan agreed to selling the Latics' cult legend.
Sunderland sign Northern Ireland striker Will Grigg for £4m after Wigan accept the League One club's eighth bid.
Read MoreWigan v QPR (15:00 GMT)
At the DW Stadium today there will be two sides looking to stop the rot.
Wigan have won just one of their past 10 league games - a 3-0 win over Aston Villa in January - and sit 20th in the table, two spots and five points above the relegation zone.
QPR, who haven't been beaten by Wigan in their past 10 meetings, are on a four-game winless run of their own. However, it must be said that they did knock Championship leaders Leeds out of the FA Cup along the way.
Will there be a change of fortunes for either one of these teams in the frozen north today?
Sheffield United v Bolton Wanderers (15:00 GMT)
Bolton’s trip to Bramall Lane is certainly a daunting one today.
Wanderers, fighting desperately to avoid the drop, sit 20 places below high-flying Sheffield United in the table and are 28 points worse off after 29 games.
The Blades are chasing their fourth successive league win at home today, while five months have come and gone since the Trotters last triumphed on their travels in the league.
Lastly, a statistic for the history buff as Sheffield United haven't completed a league double over Bolton since the 1947-48 season.
Reading v Aston Villa (15:00 GMT)
They'll be a moment of reflection before kick-off at the Madejski Stadium this afternoon as Reading remember their former captain Johnny Walker, who passed away last month aged 90.
Walker played more than 300 times in a Reading shirt and became a stalwart at Elm Park, despite joining the club at the age of 30.
He then went on to coach the under-18s in retirement and was a regular spectator in later life.
Players will wear black armbands during the game and join in a minute's applause before kick-off. Members of Walker's close family will also be in the crowd.
Reading v Aston Villa (15:00 GMT)
What do points win? Well, in Reading and Aston Villa's cases they'll be hoping for slightly different outcomes.
One side comes into this one desperate for a win to lift themselves out of the relegation zone while the other is after one that will help them keep pace with the play-off picture.
The Royals have won just once in their past 14 league matches, but new manager Jose Gomes was in charge for that solitary success.
Villa on the other hand have won just three of their past 10 Championship fixtures, including five draws.
Dean Smith will hope Tammy Abraham keeps his hot-scoring touch going having scored six of their past seven league goals.
Bristol City v Swansea City (15:00 GMT)
Bristol City are storming their way up the Championship at present on an unbeaten run of 10 matches.
Lee Johnson's side sit just three points off the play-offs in seventh, which is a far cry from where they found themselves towards the end of November in 14th.
Swansea City meanwhile managed to hold on to winger Daniel James on transfer deadline day after a seemingly inevitable move to Leeds United.
Graham Potter's side are unbeaten in five league matches themselves and are just three points behind their hosts in 11th coming into this one.
But they needed a stoppage time Oli McBurnie equaliser to keep that run going on Tuesday when they snatched a 3-3 draw against Birmingham City.
....Talking of watching England in the West Indies incidentally, James Anderson has finally got his reward on that Antigua pitch with a vital wicket on Day three.
Ipswich Town v Sheffield Wednesday (15:00 GMT)
Steve Bruce begins his managerial reign at Sheffield Wednesday with a trip to bottom-of-the-table Ipswich Town.
Bruce was sacked by Aston Villa in early October to become the first managerial casualty in the division this season.
He was tempted back into the dugout by the chance to succeed Jos Luhukay at Hillsborough, but only after he had taken a pre-planned break - which included a trip to Barbados to watch England play the West Indies.
"The adrenaline is still with me after all these years," Bruce told reporters at his first press conference on Thursday.
"I really didn't think twice when I got the phone call from the chairman to get back into it."
West Brom v Middlesbrough (15:00 GMT)
Fourth v fifth. Tony Pulis' ex-employers v his current ones.
The Hawthorns hosts a meeting of two play-off contenders and Pulis' first return to the ground where 14 months ago, he was in the home dugout.
Plenty has gone on since then in the Black Country, but West Brom start the day three points better off than their visitors.
How will Pulis be welcomed back by the home fans? Will he mastermind an away win?
The omens are good for him having won his last five away matches at The Hawthorns, without conceding a single goal.

FT: Preston 0-0 Derby County
But first, let's recap the first match of the latest round of fixtures, it was a night of hard graft for Preston at Derby in their goalless Friday night draw.
Harry Wilson twice hit the woodwork for Frank Lampard's Rams - a side that somehow didn't actually manage to record a shot on target.
Preston were immense in the second half, prompting boss Alex Neil to say that their play-off aspirations are by no means over.
Ambitious talk for a side in 16th spot and 10 points off the top six.

This afternoon's conditions remind me of a time about eight years ago this time of year when I witnessed my first and only abandoned match.
Ipswich hosted Middlesbrough at Portman Road on a day where the mercury plummeted as low as -11C!
After about three pitch inspections were passed, the game started but 24 minutes in, that was it - it was still far too frozen to continue.
What it meant was a bit of free time before heading home and some puzzled looks all round.
