Declan Rice has shown he is a very intelligent player. He just sits in the centre of midfield and when his team-mates are in trouble he is there to cover and offer for the square pass.

Arthur Masuaku's forehead is West Ham's saviour!

Matt Ritchie sends a glorious cross to Salomon Rondon, he goes for the bullet header and it pings straight off Masuaku's bonce.

He didn't know much about it.

The corner is taken but Newcastle concede a free-kick after a foul on goalkeeper Lukasz Fabianski.

Safe to say Rafa Benitez is fuming about that.

Arthur Masuaku has been booked. Not really sure what for, tbh.

He's just not lanky enough to get a touch to control it.

Salomon Rondon gets the gold star for the first shot on target for Newcastle.

He takes a swipe with his right foot from close range and it's saved by Lukasz Fabianski.

That passage of play summed up the two teams. Newcastle attacking, trying to play the ball through the eye of a needle, West Ham break and create a chance about three seconds later.

West Ham at the moment are more confident and composed to go backward or square with their passes and play around Newcastle without pressure. They are in the driving seat.

He in turn boots the ball down the pitch and out of play. Not ideal.
