Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer: "It was a really nervy last five minutes. Watford made it difficult for us and it seemed as though we were still on holiday or the international break.

"You can't play well in every game and get the points you deserve. Both teams feel they should have points.

"When I won trophies here, we didn't play well in every game. Today, we won on a below par game but it was against a good side and we have to acknowledge Watford."

Burnley

Burnley defender Ben Mee, speaking to Match of the Day: "It's a nice feeling - a big win for us.

"Wolves are a good side with some top players. I thought we were well organised.

We know the job is not done. It's always nice to reach 40 points and that's what we will aim for."

More from Bournemouth boss Eddie Howe: "We didn't play as well as we can do so we will analyse it. When you lose players to international duty you miss the training time but that's no excuse, it's the same for everyone.

"We hoped a win at Huddersfield was a turning point for us on the road but there is still a lot of work for us to do."

Brighton boss Chris Hughton, speaking to Match of the Day: "We didn't play at a good enough level to win. You have to produce that little bit of quality and make the goalkeeper work.

"I thought Southampton were better than us in the first half.

"We've done ourselves no favours today. It's going to be a hard slog to the end of the season."

More from Leicester boss Brendan Rodgers: "It will take time for us to get our ideas over to the players but they are showing a great hunger and appetite to learn and improve.

"We want to do our best, treat every game as a cup final and put maximum intensity into each match, and you saw that today.

"We defended great, and after about 20 minutes, I felt we were more comfortable. It was more a draw, performance wise. We'll take the three points.

"Some of the players who went away maybe played too much."

Crystal Palace

Crystal Palace manager Roy Hodgson, speaking to BBC Sport:

"I feel relief, the first half was nothing like what we wanted it to be. Fortunately they were not creating better goal chances but they had more of the ball and looked in control, us out of sorts.

"I must say at half time things were looking bleak. We made a few tweaks and moved Wilf [Zaha] up front. It took until the 74th minute to score, that goal from the spot was a such a relief.

"Congratulations to Huddersfield, they are technically relegated but should be proud of their performance because they tested us. So in the end I’m happy we got the result. It lifts us to 36 points which, depending on results, might be a nice buffer from the bottom three."

Watford

Watford manager Javi Gracia: "I think it was a very good performance, but a bad result. We didn't take the chances we created in the first half. We dominated the game, we had more possession, we created more chances. But we didn't score and they punished us.

"We are getting a lot of good results away but today was an exception. We need to improve before the next games."

"I'm a little bit frustrated. It was a good performance but we didn't take our chances in the beginning.

Bournemouth

Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe, speaking to Match of the Day: "No complaints, we were disappointed with what we delivered. We didn't take our chances and Leicester deserved to win.

"We didn't hit the levels that we know that we can so we will go away and reflect on that.

"Our away record is a concern and we are trying to find ways to improve what we do. I want a game tomorrow after that performance. People travel a long way to come and see us play and we didn't perform."

Huddersfield Town

Huddersfield Town manager Jan Siewert, speaking to BBC Sport:

“It is hard to say what I am feeling, disappointment of course. It sums the season up that a penalty decides the direction. I haven’t counted but we’ve conceded maybe eight to 10 penalties this season.

"When you go into the dressing room at half time and get applause from the opponent you must have done something right. But it is not enough to win games in the Premier League.

"For me in life there is failure and success and it belongs together, as a club we have to learn from the failures. The performance proved it in a way, we’ve got to go through all the details and come back strong.

"I don’t want to talk about those failures publicly, but it is important to learn as a club and this club is willing to do it.

"Thank you to all those who support us at home and here today in London.

Were you following other results?: "No because it was nearly the 80th minute when we conceded so 10 minutes to go and it's hard for me to take this situation.

"We have not just a pleasure but obligation to show something to the fans and they [the players] are willing to do it. We have to look at everyone who wants to give their best performance."

Southampton

Southampton manager Ralph Hasenhuttl speaking to BBC's MOTD: "It was a massive win for us. We played a good game today.

"The last three weeks we tried to work with this new shape."

On Brighton hitting the bar: "You need luck - that is normal. But if you work like this then you deserve that little bit of luck.

"It's important to take as many wins as possible until the end of the season. We feel comfortable in the way we play."

Huddersfield Town

Huddersfield Town captain Christopher Schindler:

"It’s very frustrating. It is hard to find the right words. I didn’t know [that the relegation was official] until you just told me, but we have to be realistic. We knew from six or eight weeks ago it was going to be hard and we needed a miracle.

"I’m empty at the moment. If we see the season retrospectively at the front and back, we were not good enough to stay in the best league in the world. We’ve got the task to end as best as possible to give our supporters the best time, to bring the season to an end in a good way.

"Nobody wants to have this on their CV, but obviously we had some brilliant years with this club, we grew together, when nobody gave us a chance for promotion we did it.

"Sometimes we have to accept it was not good enough, we could not bring the quality in the pitch. It is really hard to accept at the minute. We have to work as hard as we can and make the last weeks as positive as possible as we can use this as preparation for next season."

Burnley

Burnley boss Sean Dyche, talking about 19-year-old scorer Dwight McNeil: "Dwight has got real quality and he has shown that again with a goal and an assist.

"He is 19 and delivering in the Premier League. He's certainly laid down a marker. He will be aware of some of the basics he still has to learn but I'm enjoying what he is doing."

On the win: "It's just another marker after a tough run. We have got 21 points since Christmas - that's a healthy return. That should leave us in good confidence. We looked organised and were doing all the ugly bits very well."

Leicester striker Jamie Vardy: "It's exactly what we have been working on on the training field. There is a lot of work still to do.

"It's been great playing under the new manager, everything is quick, fast, and we have to keep doing that.

"My form has picked up, it needed to if I am being honest and hopefully there are more goals to come."

Wolves

Wolves boss Nuno Espirito Santo, speaking to Match of the Day: "I'm disappointed. It's difficult when you concede a goal so early - everything becomes much harder.

"We tried but we must look at it and not allow ourselves to concede so early."

Asked why he didn't start regulars Raul Jimenez and Matt Doherty, he added: "We have options. We choose and decide - sometime they are right and sometimes not."

Leicester City

Leicester manager Brendan Rodgers, speaking to Match of the Day: "I thought we were excellent. We had to work hard, it was a real good test. We were outstanding on the back of the international break.

"We showed a real appetite and hunger and tactically we were very good. Our pressing was excellent, the boys are understanding tactically how we want to press and the importance of that. Each game, each day in training, we are getting more used to it.

"It was a great finish from Wes Morgan to a very well worked corner.

"We had 18 shots on goal which is a real positive. I like what Jamie Vardy does, he's in the box to score goals and he was very brave to score."

Wolves

Wolves captain Conor Coady labels his side's performance as 'sloppy' and adds: "We didn't play well, we didn't create too much.

"We knew how tough it was going to be. Burnley are resilient and hard to break down. We didn't perform the way we wanted to."

Asked if next week's FA Cup semi-final with Watford was on the players' minds, Coady added: "No, not at all. It's a good game coming up but wer're not thinking about it. We have it all to play for in the Premier League. We want to finish as high as we can."

Manchester United

Manchester United defender Luke Shaw: "We made it harder with the way we played. There were times when we weren't at our best.

"We were awful in the second half, we were lucky with the result. The most important thing is the three points.

"We had a few chances but we didn't take them. We need to get ourselves together again and focus on Wolves. We want to go there and get the win.

"I'm always confident when Rashford's in front of goal, he likes to get in behind, it was a great finish and great composure.

"We need to forget about the game today because we were not at our best at all.

"We feel really good and confident, and fully trust Ole, and we're looking forward to working with him for the years to come."
