What. A. Start! Burnley need a win - and they're already ahead.

Dwight McNeil catches Wolves napping with a free-kick, picking out Chris Wood who rounds Rui Patricio and shoots goalwards from a tight angle.

Wood's effort hits the post, bounces off the sliding Conor Coady and goes in off the unfortunate Wolves skipper.

Handshakes done, both sets of the players then come together for the Premier League's 'No Room For Racism' campaign.

    A timely reminder...

Burnley manager Sean Dyche: "It gets to a point - which is now - where it's still right in our grasp, where it wasn't at Christmas. I think we've come a long way since that build-up to Christmas.

"It's easy to forget we only had 12 points after 19 games. We've now got 30, so that's a pretty healthy return. Now we've got to continue to build on that.

"Since Christmas the actual form has been good. The last run has been tough, obviously. But if you mix that altogether, you'd certainly take the return in points. But we've got to get more."

Chatted to some Burnley fans outside who said they were nervous, they all said they "need" something today or it puts a lot of pressure on their games against Bournemouth, and Cardiff coming up. Their last four are tricky - Chelsea, Man City, Everton and Arsenal.

Spoke to a Wolves fan who said: "We should beat these, but we've been poor against the rubbish teams."

Wolves players have been warned not to get distracted by their upcoming trip to Wembley, says boss Nuno Espirito Santo.

The Midlands club will end a 21-year wait for a FA Cup semi-final appearance when they face Watford under the famous arch next Sunday.

Before attention switches to that game, Wolves must focus on today's challenge at Burnley and then the visit of Manchester United to Molineux on Tuesday.

"We don't think about that, we only look at the Burnley game and how we want to play and the things that we want to do against a very tough team," said the Portuguese.

"Burnley are a very good team at home, physical, organised, aggressive, and it is a very tough game for us.

"I expect a tough game between two teams who compete well."

Short-sleeved replica shirt, no jacket. Looks like it is that sort of afternoon in the east Lancashire sun.

One older home fan isn't fooled. He's brought the bobble hat. Better safe than sorry.

Just the sole change for Burnley from the defeat against Leicester last time out as they look to end a run of four straight defeats.

Jeff Hendrick comes into midfield in a straight swap with Johann Berg Gudmundsson, who was an injury doubt and drops to the bench.

Burnley XI: Heaton, Bardsley, Tarkowski, Mee, Taylor, Hendrick, Westwood, Cork, McNeil, Barnes, Wood.

Subs: Lowton, Gudmundsson, Brady, Gibson, Hart, Ward, Vydra.

Boss Nuno Espirito Santo insists Wolves will not have one eye on the FA Cup semi-finals next weekend - but that's perhaps why he has dropped Matt Doherty and Raul Jimenez - to the dismay of fantasy football managers everywhere.

Right wing-back Doherty and striker Jimenez are replaced by Adama Traore and Ivan Cavaleiro, while the other change sees keeper John Ruddy replaced by regular number one Rui Patricio.

Wolves XI: Rui Patricio, Saiss, Coady, Boly, Traore, Dendoncker, Neves, Joao Moutinho, Jonny, Ivan Cavaleiro, Jota.

Subs: Doherty, Jimenez, Helder Costa, Gibbs-White, John Ruddy, Ruben Vinagre, Kilman.

Sean Dyche's 300th match as Burnley manager sees him attempting to end a run of four consecutive defeats which has plunged the Clarets right back into relegation danger - just as it seemed an eight-game unbeaten sequence had pulled them to relative safety.

The 18 points they earned in that purple patch from December to February may yet prove key - but Cardiff's visit to Turf Moor on 13 April will be underlined in red in Dyche's diary.

Wolves are hoping they might qualify for the Europa League by virtue of either winning the FA Cup or by finishing seventh and having Manchester City lift the Cup.

Wolves' season has been nothing short of spectacular; they are on course to finish higher than any newly-promoted team in the top flight since Sunderland in 2000.

The shaved head and goatee is the same as it was in November 2012 - when the 'Ginger Mourinho' took charge of the first match of his managerial career.

And, in a strange quirk which football likes to throw up, the opponents are also the same for his 300th.

But will his Burnley side be celebrating today like his Watford team were back then?
