That was possibly one of the worst first half performances I think I have seen from a Premier League side this year.

West Ham were all over the place at the back and virtually non existent as an attacking force.

They managed just three touches in the Everton penalty area. Still on a positive note for the second half, they can't play any worse than that surely...?

Leonard: West Ham should stop singing 'Bubbles' before each match. At this stage of every season the words, "Then like my dreams they fade and die" are taken far too literally by the team.

A bit better from West Ham.

Robert Snodgrass goes for goal from distance but just misses with Jordan Pickford scrambling.

Andre Gomes strides through midfield and picks out Richarlison who fires straight at West Ham keeper Lukasz Fabianski. Another decent chance for Everton.

Everton look sharper, they look totally up for it and have been by far the best team in this first half.

The start of something good perhaps.... but a little bird tells me Bernard's goal for Everton ends a run of 1585 minutes without a goal for him.

No wonder he looked so happy. Only his 28th Premier League appearance mind.

West Ham are yet to register a shot on target. Slightly more of a worry is they don't really even look like they are capable of working a position to have a shot.

As far as poor Premier League performances go this is right up there.

That's quality. It's the movement.

Richarlison has done really well today but Bernard has caused damage too. It's what Everton deserved, they've opened them up every time but getting that second goal was needed.
