This is a different way of playing from when I've seen Motherwell last season and even earlier this season - more direct, comfortable players on the ball, keeping nice control and not panicking

What a block that was from Kristoffer Ajer - an old-fashioned challenge. He needed to make it because James Scott was about to unleash from 18 yards. Really good break of play from Motherwell

Alex Rodriguez Gorrin has been composed on the ball, he's tried to play the pass and keep the ball for a couple of passes. That's helped Motherwell get into the game - but we've not really seen Hastie yet

I think it was a handball but I don't think it was deliberate. The strike was ball to hand rather than the other way around

  16. Robinson wants Well to play 'without fear'published at 15:00 Greenwich Mean Time 24 February 2019

    Celtic v Motherwell (15:00)

"I’ve tried to say, 'play with a bit of freedom, don’t play with any fear and then the result will take care of itself,'" Motherwell manager Stephen Robinson tells BBC Radio Scotland's Sportsound.

"If you’re going to be judged against anyone you’re going to be judged against arguably the best side in the league. They’re a top side and we have to be at our very best today to get something out of the game.

"You know you’re not going to have as much of the ball as you do at home, you know you’ll have to be good defensively. We came here last time, we were good as a unit but we made individual errors that cost us the game. We never really had forward runners or anybody going past anybody, maybe that was the personnel.

"You’ve got to ask them to do the defensive side but you’ve also got to pursue an attacking side of the game when you land on the ball and I feel we’ve got the personnel to be able to do that."

    Celtic v Motherwell (15:00)

Brendan Rodgers is expecting a "tough game" today, with the Celtic boss telling BBC Scotland: "Motherwell are doing very well, they’ve introduced some young players.

"Their form has been excellent, they’ve won games and that breeds confidence. As long as we play with that intensity, tempo and concentration then we always feel we can get a result.

"With the young players you never know until you put them in. What we know with Ewan Henderson is that he’s a big talent. He’s still developing and improving and this is a good game for him to come into and show his qualities.

"He’s a very technically gifted player, he moves well, he’s shown in training that he can really press the game and have that physicality."
