Everyone at Manchester United knew the form they showed at the start of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's reign wouldn't last - and that there were some significant problems that needed addressing.
He will need to bring in new players during the summer - and get rid of some, which explains why Ander Herrera and Juan Mata are still waiting to discover what United's final contract offer will be.
But in the here and now he has eight days to come up with a plan and a team to tackle Barcelona at Old Trafford because on this evidence, that might be a very long night.
Wolves 2-1 Man Utd
Chris Smalling nearly grabs his second of the night - another at the opposite end!!!
In an attempt to cut out a cross, he sends the ball goalwards only to be denied (saved) by the reflexes of his team-mate David De Gea.
What larks!
Watford 4-1 Fulham
Andre Gray nearly makes it five.
The substitute striker drives a low shot that Sergio Rico does well to get a hand to, low to his left.
Watford 4-1 Fulham
Fulham have four minutes plus stoppage to try to keep alive their chances of staying up.
Oi! You at the back! Stop laughing!
Wolves 2-1 Man Utd
I've just seen a screenshot from the moment Phil Jones tried to challenge for the ball just before Wolves' goal.
I am crying with laughter.

The noise levels have gone up at Molineux somewhat.
The fans in the South Bank to my right were singing 'Can we play you every week' and have followed that up with a Wembley song.
Heady days in the Black Country.

A scrambled goal. The goalkeeper has to take everything. He has not had much to do.
Chris Smalling og
A Chucklebrothers classic.
Jonny crosses the ball from the left which arrives into the six-yard area inhabited by Phil Jones and Raul Jimenez.
The pair both seem to get something on the cross, David De Gea appears stuck in the mud as the ball rolls past him and the despairing dive of Chris Smalling who - for reasons he only knows - pushes the ball in with his hand.
Unintentional, of course.
And a shambles.
Kiko Femenia
Going.
Gone.
Watford go for the jugular and squeeze it.
Kiko Femenia slams home the fourth from just inside the area after another sweeping Watford move.
Watford 3-1 Fulham
Jose Holebas, previously a little bit injured, strikes a low angled drive that Sergio Rico does brilliantly to push behind for a corner.
Nothing comes from the corner.

Ashley Young's red card means he will be suspended for Manchester United's Premier League game against West Ham on 13 April.
Obviously, it also means United are less likely to win a game they really needed to in order to keep pace with their Champions League chasing rivals.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has only had one player sent off in the Premier League as United boss - and that was Eric Bailly in the latter stages of an easy win against Bournemouth in December.
He has a bit of work to do now.
Troy Deeney (69 mins)
Fulham thought it was all over.
It probably is now.
Sub Andre Gray does brilliantly to poke the ball past two Cottagers defenders on the left before playing a square ball through to Troy Deeney who sidefoots past Sergio Rico.
Scott Parker looks like a man who just missed out on getting two EuroMillions numbers.
Whoop! Whoop!
What will Deano do to celebrate it?
Will we have a Sky Sports special looking back at his greatest reds? Maybe featuring Halford, Ellery etc
Wait....another goal...
Will Hughes (63 mins)
Slam dunk da funk!
Will Hughes scores an absolute cracker.
If that's the goal that sends Fulham down then what a goal, although visiting fans may take a different view.
Maxime Le Marchand's clearance from a corner drops into the eyeline of both Abdoulaye "Top Gun" Doucoure and Will "Danger Zone" Hughes.
But it's Hughes who meets the ball first with a bullet train of a shot that flashes past Sergio Rico.
Watford 1-1 Fulham
Ryan Sessegnon is played into area by Fulham team-mate Aleksandar Mitrovic.
However, Ben Foster reads the danger like someone with a PhD in reading danger and snuffs out any threat by blocking the space for the Fulham man.

That's the way Young plays, he dives in. You need to be sensible in that position but he did not get there in time and I wouldn't be surprised if Jota stays down. It was a horrible challenge, reckless, so I don't know why Young is complaining.
Wolves 1-1 Man Utd
Young, who picked up a yellow earlier, hacks down Diogo Jota.
He seemed to go in studs of one boot showing.
Mike Dean produces one yellow, then a red.
Standard.
Wolves 1-1 Man Utd
We have a sending off at Molineux!!!!!
Wolves 1-1 Man Utd
It's one of those 'either side' as Scott McTominay - he of the goal - sends his header straight at Rui Patricio and a good initial cross from Romelu Lukaku.
