    WOOOOOF. This is a screamer.

Burnley put a corner in the box and Cesar Azpilicueta heads it out. It drops out of the air to Jeff Hendrick, 20 yards out, and the Irishman just sends a sweet volley flying past Kepa into the back of the net.

    Brilliant by Ben Mee.

Eden Hazard picks out Gonzalo Higuain, who lifts the ball over Tom Heaton. It's heading into the back of the net until Burnley defender Mee bicycle-kicks it off the line.

The swing of Hazard's left foot knocked Tom Heaton back. That was a big chance for Chelsea. Barnes and Wood are going to be very important for Burnley in terms of holding the ball up.

The conditions are absolutely perfect. I was watching both sets of players warming up and there was a real snap and a real high intensity.

Both teams are really fired up for this.

  14. 'Champions League given too much importance'published at 19:49 British Summer Time 22 April 2019

    Chelsea v Burnley (20:00 BST)

Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri says "the media give the Champions League too much importance".

"It's a competition with straight elimination, so we need to play very well but you need to be lucky in that competition," he said.

"I can understand if you stay in the Champions League it's another world probably.

"I have played two times in the Champions League and it's clear that it's the most important competition for clubs in Europe and as a consequence in the world. But it's a competition in which you need to be lucky.

"We want to win the Europa League because it's a very important competition, not for getting into the Champions League."

Based on results in 2019 (before this weekend's games), Burnley would be fifth in the table - one point ahead of Chelsea.

Daniel: Who would have predicted after Kepa gate that Sarri by now would not only still be in post but be in with a shout of a top 4 finish and winning the Europa League? A strange season indeed.

  18. Dyche backs VAR introductionpublished at 19:39 British Summer Time 22 April 2019

    Chelsea v Burnley (20:00 BST)

Sean Dyche captains Chesterfield during the 1997 FA Cup semi-final against Middlesbrough at Old TraffordImage source, Getty Images

Burnley boss Sean Dyche was asked about VAR in the build-up to tonight's game.

He just wishes it had come in 22 years ago. Dyche captained third tier Chesterfield in an FA Cup semi-final against Middlesbrough in 1997 and they had a goal not given even though it crossed the line.

They went on to lose the replay.

"If we had VAR, I would've captained out a Second Division team at Wembley against Chelsea and that would probably never be repeated again," Dyche said.

"We didn't have that and therefore, we're meant to go, 'oh well, good old plucky Chesterfield', and it just goes away."

Speaking about Manchester City's late disallowed Champions League goal, he added: "In theory, Tottenham could have been sitting there going, 'oh well, we're not going to make history anymore because they had an offside goal that was allowed'.

"That can't be right in this level of the market. If you look at any other business in anything, they would get the margins as fine as they could to stop that from happening."

    Relive Chesterfield's heartbreak here.

  19. 'Factually there isn't anything done yet'published at 19:36 British Summer Time 22 April 2019

    Chelsea v Burnley (20:00 BST)

Burnley boss Sean Dyche insists his team will not think they are safe until it is impossible for them to be relegated.

They are eight points clear of 17th-placed Cardiff, who have three games left. A win tonight secures their survival.

“I deal in facts. That is the currency that I use to keep myself right," he said.

“If my mind is clear, why wouldn’t I make sure the players’ are, and factually there isn’t anything done yet.

“We have made a big marker in my time here of earning everything ourselves and not relying on others. If others do you a favour, so be it, but we want to take control of our own situation."

  20. Lawro's predictionpublished at 19:33 British Summer Time 22 April 2019

    Chelsea v Burnley (20:00 BST)

    Mark Lawrenson
    Former Oxford United manager

Chelsea are fighting for a top-four place and with Eden Hazard on form they have got a chance.

Burnley have got 39 points and they are safe, or as good as safe anyway so they do not have much to play for.

They won at Stamford Bridge on the opening day of last season, but I can't see a repeat of that result this time.

    Prediction: 2-0
