Leeds create the first opening of the first half.

After a cross is flicked away by Richard Keogh, Jack Harrison sees his effort deflected behind off Rams right-back Jayden Bogle.

Derby were out first for the second period and get the game restarted.

No changes at the break, although Leeds only have two subs left after that injury to Adam Forshaw midway through the first half.

Can either team get the breakthrough and seize control of this tie?

Incidentally, the game at Villa Park set a new record for a play-off semi-final attendance.

There were 40,754 present to watch Villa's comeback, beating the previous high set by Villa last year against Middlesbrough.

That record could not even last a day though, with Sunderland hosting Portsmouth in the first leg of their League One semi this evening.

A bumper crowd is expected at the Stadium of Light.

In the other Championship play-off semi-final earlier today, Aston Villa came from behind to take a slender lead into the second leg of their tie against West Brom.

Derby have ridden their luck. In the first 5-10 minutes they did some good things but Leeds have taken over with some good game management and have just been a pass away at times.

But if you are a Leeds fan you're probably thinking that your team's not been clinical enough.

Goalless at the break at Pride Park.

Leeds have dominated possession, but can't create a decent opening.

Derby have not done much, although David Nugent had an effort blocked by Gaetano Berardi inside the box.

Stuart Dallas gets to the byline and pulls it back to Kemar Roofe, whose half-volleyed effort is way off target.

There's an offside as Dallas goes back to get the ball - or did it go behind? Either way it doesn't really matter.

We are into one minute of added time at the end of the first half.

A good header behind from Tom Lawrence - helping out in defence - stops Leeds forward Kemar Roofe getting on the end of a ball to the back post.

The corner is cleared at the near post but Leeds come again...

Derby get a free-kick just inside the Leeds half after Kalvin Phillips fouls Duane Holmes while challenging for the ball.

Here's a chance for the Rams to create something... but they drift the ball out to the right-hand corner of the box and it drifts behind for a goal-kick.

Pablo Hernandez threatens on the edge of the Derby box but then the Rams win it back and look to break.

But Gaetano Berardi puts in a good challenge on halfway to snuffle out the threat of a counter-attack before it starts.

Again Leeds press, but Luke Ayling's clipped ball into the box is gathered easily by Kelle Roos.

Kemar Roofe was well blocked off by Richard Keogh there.

Leeds full-back Luke Ayling gets to the byline after getting past Scott Malone and Fikayo Tomori with a couple of great touches.

But his pull-back fails to find a blue shirt, to the frustration of the travelling support.

An excellent ball over the top finds Kemar Roofe in space down the left flank.

But he can't find Leeds team-mate Mateusz Klich in the box with his low cross and Derby clear the ball away.

Derby centre-back Fikayo Tomori does well to shield the ball after being beaten to it - and then nutmegged - by Mateusz Klich.

But Derby can't keep hold of the ball for a prolonged spell.
