  1. HALF-TIME Celtic 1-0 Sarajevo (4-1)published at 45 mins

Celtic are well on top and lead thanks to a smart finish from Ryan Christie.

The tie is over as a contest but I'm sure manager Neil Lennon will be urging his men on for a few more goals after the interval.

  2. CLOSE!published at 43 mins

    Celtic 1-0 Sarajevo (4-1)

Boli Bolingoli fancies his first Celtic goal this evening. The new left-back pops up in attack again and his strike from 22 yards whizzes just wide.

  3. YELLOW CARDSpublished at 41 mins

A couple of hefty challenges result in bookings for Sarajevo pair Mirko Oremus and Benjamin Tatar.

It appeared that Neil Lennon was becoming a touch agitated before the opener but he got the response.

The tempo appeared to rise as did care of the football as Celtic kept possession and stretched Sarajevo’s defence.

Odsonne Edouard’s direct approach, surging at the defence, paid off when the ball broke to Ryan Christie and he didn’t hesitate.

Now there’s an opportunity to produce a resounding result to raise confidence and potentially give the likes of Leigh Griffiths and Christopher Jullien some competitive action in the second half.

  5. GREAT SAVE!published at 35 mins

    Celtic 1-0 Sarajevo (4-1)

Here come Celtic again as Ryan Christie threads a neat pass into the path of Odsonne Edouard. The striker dips a shoulder to make room for a shot from the edge of the box but Vladan Kovacevic does well to spring to his right and push it away.

  6. Postpublished at 33 mins

    Celtic 1-0 Sarajevo (4-1)

The visitors spring a counter-attack from a corner, with winger James Forrest left to chase down Anel Hebibovic. Never mind, the Sarajevo man goes for an ambitious long-range lob and gets it all wrong.

  7. Postpublished at 29 mins

    Celtic 1-0 Sarajevo (4-1)

Almost a second goal for Celtic as a low, driven cross from Lewis Morgan, who is now operating down the right, looks like it just needs a touch from Odsonne Edouard in front of goal but the striker can't quite get there as the keeper sprawls in front of him.

Celtic needed that goal to settle themselves down. I think Edouard was trying to set up a shooting opportunity for himself. Eventually it came to Ryan Christie, he just controlled with his right and bang with his left, and the goalkeeper was left standing still

Odsonne Edoaurd weaves his way past a couple of challenges inside the box before losing control. The loose ball breaks to Ryan Christie and the midfielder sweeps a lovely shot high into the top corner from 12 yards.

  10. GOOD SAVEpublished at 24 mins

    Celtic 0-0 Sarajevo (3-1)

Following a scruffy wee spell, Celtic threaten through Callum McGregor, with Vladan Kovacevic doing well to push a sharp shot away.

  11. 'Patience required from home support'published at 20:07 British Summer Time 17 July 2019

    Celtic 0-0 Sarajevo (3-1)

The visitors appear to be equally tricky to break down as they were in the opening half hour in Sarajevo.

Well organised and disciplined, keeping efforts on goal from Celtic to a minimum.

Last week, they capitalised on that by getting the opener. Little sign of that tonight, other than the early chance that was ruled offside.

Neil Lennon’s side are firmly in control but the challenge is to get that first goal to kill the contest.

It's going to be very interesting to see where Bolingoli finds himself on the pitch. He's not an orthodox left-back, he's found himself in the middle of the park on a couple of occasions. But if I was playing against him I'd exploit that gap that he leaves open on the left

  13. Postpublished at 13 mins

    Celtic 0-0 Sarajevo (3-1)

Celtic are building up a head of steam now as Vladan Kovacevic flaps unconvincingly at a corner and then the visiting keeper has to get down to smother a low shot from Boli Bolingoli.

  14. PENALTY APPEALpublished at 9 mins

    Celtic 0-0 Sarajevo (3-1)

Lewis Morgan is sent tumbling as he tries to cut into the penalty box from the left. The fans nearby rise as one shouting for a spot-kick but the referee is unmoved. It looked like a trip but maybe not quite inside the area.

  15. CLOSE!published at 6 mins

    Celtic 0-0 Sarajevo (3-1)

Callum McGregor gathers a James Forrest pass and lets fly, with his drilled effort from 25 yards skidding a few feet wide.

That showed Sarajevo's intent. That was a good breakout from Velkoski, the captain, but the big striker just went a bit too early. It does show they've got a little bit of ability and Celtic have to be stronger

  17. DISALLOWED GOALpublished at 2 mins

    Celtic 0-0 Sarajevo (3-1)

Celtic Park falls silent as Mersudin Ahmetovic chips the ball over Scott Bain and into the net... That's quickly followed by a collective sigh of relief as the offside flag goes up.

  19. 'We hope to get control of the game very quickly'published at 19:44 British Summer Time 17 July 2019

    Celtic v Sarajevo (3-1) (19:45)

While the home fans belt out You'll Never Walk Alone, some more from Neil Lennon...

"It's still a question of building and building, whether it be ring rust or getting over the fatigue side of the game. We can't be complacent, this is a big game for Sarajevo. We can do one of two things, we can make it a night to inspire them if we don't play properly, or we can make it very difficult for them.

"We hope to get control of the game very quickly. We're going to have to defend set-plays better than we did last week, and get on the front foot."

  20. Morgan 'here on merit' - Lennonpublished at 19:42 British Summer Time 17 July 2019

    Celtic v Sarajevo (3-1) (19:45)

Celtic manager Neil Lennon tells BBC Scotland: "Lewis Morgan has done well so far in pre-season. We've not played a lot of football, but he showed up well against Rennes at the weekend and he's got an opportunity to stake his claim. I'm not putting him under any undue pressure. It's a straight up swap between him and Mikey Johnson, who was unfortunate to miss the game. We're hoping Lewis will come in and it'll be seamless.

"You've got to take that pressure away. It's not like 'play well or bust'. It's a case of 'go and show what you can do. You're here on merit.'"
