Instead, Ilkay Gundogan's cut-back is too deep and it's a good few yards away from Sane, who had followed his run into the box.

It's just about reducing the scoreline for West Ham. They are struggling to get it past the halfway line as tiredness is really showing now.

Bernardo Silva, who was excellent last season, cuts in from the right and drills a powerful strike towards the far post from long range.

It takes a deflection and flies out for a corner but again, West Ham clear their lines.

Ilkay Gundogan slides a ball in from the left but Leroy Sane can only divert it wide from just a few yards out.

Winston Reid is aware of Raheem Sterling behind him and takes no chances, slicing it out for a cheap corner.

He shakes his head a little as he walks back into position but the corner doesn't come to anything.

Javier Hernandez's free-kick goes up and over the wall but is kept out by an excellent save from Claudio Bravo.

Andriy Yarmolenko reacts to get to the rebound first but he blasted it onto the outside of the keeper's right post.

Probably should have done better, though the angle was a little tight.

Grady Diangana runs at Kevin de Bruyne and seems to get the better of him. There's a tug on his shirt and appeals for a penalty but a free-kick is given on the edge of the box.

Winston Reid replaces Angelo Ogbonna. It's much better when they make one change at a time!

Pep has called it a day on Rodri, who has looked bright on his first City appearance.

He's replaced by Spaniard Aleix Garcia, who has been on loan at Girona.

West Ham are really struggling to deal with City's big players. And to make things worse, Pep is bringing on John Stones, Kyle Walker, Ilkay Gundogan and Oleksandr Zinchenko. Nice.
