I told him the bad news this morning. To see kids faces to tell them the football club isn't there any more. Where do we go now? What do we do? A lot of people are affected.
The alarm bells were ringing when you heard about how much money they were losing. The EFL were still signing off their contracts and allowing them to go through. All the people in the league who knew Bury were paying too much, but as a collective group didn't do anything about it.
Lincoln 2-4 Everton
Everton
Everton boss Marco Silva tells Sky Sports: "It will be another tough match in this competition against Sheffield Wednesday next. A Championship club who have started well and we will think about them when we have to play them.
"The most important thing that I asked was that we were serious and to respect the fans and opponents. We did not start how we wanted, it was the worst way, but we showed personality to keep doing what we should do and how we want to play. Lucas Digne scored a good goal but we had plenty of chances. I told the players to keep playing fast, we did that and in some moments we did very well.
"The scored again with a fantastic strike but we took risks, changed the formation and then scored the third and added the fourth.
"We deserved to go through."
Newcastle 1-1 Leicester (2-4 penalties)
Owen Coyle
Former Bolton manager on BBC Radio 5 Live
I thought tonight was important for Newcastle after the Tottenham game. You thought if they get through this tonight, it could build momentum. For Newcastle, it would be nice to have a cup run. It's a shame, they put so much into the game.
And that concludes the draw for the Carabao Cup third round.
