A lovely flowing move from West Ham almost results in what would have been a stunning team goal.

Manuel Lanzini tears up the Norwich defence as he plays a neat ball to the onrushing Sebastian Haller, who can't quite get to it in time.

As we near the half-time whistle, there's a lull in play and the game appears to have calmed down.

For all Norwich's hard work, they haven't got anything to show for it just yet.

Norwich captain Christophe Zimmermann hasn't looked quite right since his earlier challenge from West Ham goalscorer Sebastian Haller, and he's had to come off.

He's replaced by Ibrahim Amadou, who made his Canaries debut in their midweek defeat by Crawley in the Carabao Cup.

Norwich haven't sat back at all since going a goal down and if anything, they've dominated the match since Sebastian Haller's opener.

Marco Stiepermann is the latest Canaries player to test West Ham keeper Lukasz Fabianski, this time with a long-range shot that sails straight into his arms.

How have Norwich not equalised here?!

Max Aarons does tremendously well to beat several West Ham markers to run into the box and lift a chipped cross to Todd Cantwell who heads over the bar from close range.

What have Norwich got in response to that Sebastian Haller goal?

Well they're unfortunate not to get themselves an immediate leveller! Emi Buendia can't quite turn and shoot in the West Ham box before the ball falls to Todd Cantwell who skies it over the bar.

Good work from the visitors to work it upfield so quickly.

The answer to that question is no and the game gets back under way.

An even first quarter to this match, I must say. Both sides look up for it.

Norwich captain Christophe Zimmermann is absolutely scythed down by a challenge from Sebastian Haller and there's a break in play as he's attended to.

Zimmermann already came in as replacement for the injured Grant Hanley. Could Daniel Farke be forced into an early change, here?

Andriy Yarmolenko once again goes down in the box, this time after latching onto a through ball form Sebastian Haller.

This time the West Ham defender goes down from a challenge from Ben Godfrey, but his calls are waved away again by referee Paul Tierney.

West Ham are settling into this game now and they win a free-kick in the Norwich half that Andriy Yarmolenko stands over.

However his free-kick directed towards the box is chased down and blocked away by Moritz Leitner with ease.
