  3. 'Almost impossible' for Eriksen to leave tomorrowpublished at 19:13 British Summer Time 1 September 2019

Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino to BBC Sport: "It was amazing. I enjoyed it a lot. You want to win, but you hope to play these kind of games every week.

"Their goal gave them the belief just before half-time.

"The whole team had a very good performance. Christian Eriksen had a big performance. His mind was clear that he wanted to play. It’s nearly impossible for something to happen [with a transfer tomorrow], that’s why it was clear."

On going into the international break with a good result: "Very important. That’s why I’m very pleased, very optimistic."

  4. 'They can thank Hugo for the saves'published at 19:07 British Summer Time 1 September 2019

    Arsenal 2-2 Spurs

    Arsenal

Arsenal striker Alexandre Lacazette speaking to Match of the Day: "We wanted to win today but one point for each team is good. It is always better to get one point rather than nothing.

"I scored and everybody was happy going into half-time. I think they can say thank you Hugo [Lloris] for all the the saves."

When asked if Aubameyang, Pepe and himself can play regularly together: "You need to ask the coach if he's happy with the three of us."

  5. 'Result isn't the best for us'published at 19:04 British Summer Time 1 September 2019

Arsenal manager Unai Emery to BBC Sport: "It was an amazing match. We are proud of our work and our supporters. The result isn’t the best for us.

"The key was the first goal to give us confidence and give us more chances in the second half. We deserved it. We did a lot of good things. We made some mistakes in the first half and they have good players.

"Before their first goal we were playing well. Sometimes our heart is more strong than our head."

    Arsenal 2-2 Spurs

    Arsenal

Arsenal boss Unai Emery to Sky Sports: "I'm pretty proud of our work. We played with our heart, sometimes more than our head. We need the balance.

"We need to be clearer in our mind. We made some mistakes in the first half.

The fans pushed us and helped us. The first goal for us was the key.

"We deserved to win over the 90 minutes. The match was amazing for everyone watching."

Tottenham have dropped 42 points from winning positions in the Premier League against Arsenal - 11 more than any against any other side.

  8. 'Tomorrow we will be on the same page'published at 18:52 British Summer Time 1 September 2019

    Arsenal 2-2 Spurs

    Tottenham Hotspur

Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino speaking to Sky Sports: "I think it was a great game for both sides. I think we did very well and we were very solid and created a lot of chances. In the first half it was a great 45 minutes and I was a little bit ashamed to concede before half-time.

"We have massive quality and from tomorrow [when the transfer window shuts] we will all be on the same page. With Christian Eriksen we have to wait but it shows it was the right decision to play him. He showed a great performance and helped the team to get a point here.

"I am optimistic and happy to work with the squad and try to fight for big things for the club.

"What happened in the past happened in the past and you cannot fix it. It is about drawing a strong line for the future. It’s important to move on and learn from the past."

  9. 'We are sticking together'published at 18:51 British Summer Time 1 September 2019

    Arsenal 2-2 Tottenham

    Tottenham Hotspur

Spurs striker Harry Kane, speaking to BBC Sport: "I feel like were coming off disappointed. We expect to see the game out. The goal hurt us with momentum just before the break. It was an end-to-end game, especially last 10-15 minutes but the players left everything on the pitch.

On his late penalty shout: "As a striker, if it is on halfway it is a definite foul. In the box you don't always get them. He's come through the back of me but it is 50/50. VAR would probably have backed the ref in this."

On Christian Eriksen: "He is a fantastic player. I've been playing with him for five-six years. He is doing the best he can. You can see how much the goal meant to him. As a squad we are fighting and sticking together and giving everything we can on the pitch."

Angus Robb: v good today from Kane, Son, Jan, Toby, Danny, Christian, Lamessi. Excellent from Hugo, big match player if ever there was 1. Dav (out of position) , Winksy- needs to show more courage moving forward and some speed in own final 3rd. What can a Spurs fan say about Siss after a match like today's NLD. Wouldn't he just be so, so good if he could shoot on target? His standards in all other aspects are top 5 in the league, but final pass, and finishing is just so bad, worst 5 in league. Pity

  12. 'It's a shame we couldn't kill it off'published at 18:44 British Summer Time 1 September 2019

    Arsenal 2-2 Tottenham

    Tottenham Hotspur

Tottenham striker Harry Kane, speaking to Sky Sports: "I'm a little disappointed. When you go 2-0 up you expect to win whoever you are playing. The goal before half-time changed the momentum. Second half it was two teams going for the win. They were on top at times but we still had chances. All in all it is a point and we need to accept it.

"If a few final balls would have been better, we would have created more. It is a shame we couldn't kill it off. But it is the Premier League and if you don't kill teams off they come back at you."

On his late penalty shout: "The defender made a tired tackle. On halfway I think I'd get that foul. Ref probably thinks I'm looking for it. It is 50-50, I could get it in some games."

Has anyone noticed how good Guendozi was today, he was everywhere and did not put a foot wrong. Great game due to poor defence, this is why both teams won't win the league this year.

  14. 'I think we deserved more'published at 18:40 British Summer Time 1 September 2019

    Arsenal 2-2 Spurs

    Arsenal

Arsenal striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang speaking to Sky Sports: "I think in the first half we we deserved to score two goals. We did a great job. It was a tough game and I think we deserved more. When you go in the dressing room after scoring a goal it is always positive so it was crucial to score then.

"It was a great pass from Guendouzi [for the goal] - he looks at me and he knows I’m going to run. I like to play as a striker but when the team needs me on the wing I go and I try my best."

The people have spoken - 1,511 of you say Harry Kane should have had a penalty, but 4,439 say he dived (18:29).

Having seen it again, I'd say he went down easily, although not a full-blown dive. He was definitely shoved.

Arsenal’s Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has scored in seven successive Premier League starts at the Emirates. Only Thierry Henry in October 2000 went on a longer run at home for the Gunners in the competition (nine at Highbury).

Bad defending must be contagious today. Atletico Madrid are 2-0 down at home to Eibar.

Jonny: I have no idea what value Xhaka brings to the team. The only thing he offers is mistakes that cost us points.

Chris: VAR saved Spurs again after not coming to their rescue against Palace.

Thumbs up if you think Harry Kane should have had an injury-time penalty. Thumbs down if you think he dived.
